what's up with this guy in the comments on love's blog?
does he imagine that he’s like a virtual mentor or something? is this plinytheelder, except disguised as “super_voyage”?
and where’s the bakery/donut shop across the river anyway? i’m trying to visualize, but can’t summon it. somebody should send the rookie down to mel-o-glaze. now that would be some mentoring.
Kevin,
Great thoughts. However, the one thing I know from playing the game with former pros is you’ve got to be tough to play defense. You can’t back down. You can’t get pushed around and you’ve got to push back sometimes to get respect. A hard foul here and there. Jump rope. Take your weightlifting seriously. Develop explosive power and when you realize that power. Use it on the court to COMMAND respect. I told this to Adam Morrison who has talent but he’s soft on defense. You’ve got to be tough and push back to get respect. Offense it fine, but it’s defense where you earn respect as a tough player. Kevin McHale played tough and sometimes he threw out a hard foul. Be tough. Demand respect don’t ask for it.

get serious kissinger
the guy’s name is “super_voyage,” it’s obviously Coolio! Slide, slide, slippity-slide (with the benefit of hindsight these are obviously defensive drill instructions).
And that donut shoppe is the hostess discount bakery on Lake and 14th (they practise at St Thomas).

He was...
…the guy from the commercials last year. Leave it to the Wolves to take some lyrics from a Barry Manilow song and turn it into a promotion. I don’t think he made the transition to the new squad.
