How have the Wolves Looked So Far

Missed the first half due to other obligations.

It was a nicely paced...

…1/2 after a rough start. They shot well and hung in there on the boards. Also, Wyn is Twittering the game here.

I do have to ask...

…what is the point of league pass if you can’t get the games on 45? How are out-state people supposed to watch this game if they don’t know how to find live feeds?

The Lead Almost Evaporated again tonight though, needs to be worked on some more wittman.

In the "credit where credit is due" department...

…Witt had some good coaching down the stretch. Normally keeping the Rhino out there would be death on the boards but he rode the hot hand and ran plays opposite Miller and Jefferson to set up the final back breaking in and out 3 by Miller. Also, I think we also saw a defensive substitution near the end of the game with Brewer. I actually thought Witt outcoached Mo over the course of the game. Of course, when you make over 50% of your shots and get to the line more than your opponent, coaching becomes “not screwing it up”.

Agreed on Witt

First time all season I’ve felt Wittman’s decision making helped the team win. Too little too late?

f*** typical of me

to watch like 40 straight losses and miss the win because I was at the orchestra NERD ALERT!

lol

nerdly as charged

nerdy?

while i feel your pain in missing a rare good t-woofs performance, i humbly (and in the spirit of self-deprecation) submit that blogging analysis of a t-woofs game might be just as nerdy (or even more so) as attending the orchestra. that being said- did they play better defense and make better decisions down the stretch, or is philly just bad? guess we’ll find out in the next few games against good teams.

4th

Some big plays down the stretch for Al Jefferson- scoring and making the right descisions

A Win!

Feels good. The players seemed relieved.

Not to be too rude...

but it’s late and I’m tired, so I’ll just ask: How many people still want to trade Jefferson? Or trade Miller?

by McCleak on Nov 19, 2008 11:19 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

After watching Jefferson bark at Foye and Brewer all night...

… I’m actually slightly more inclined to consider trading Jefferson than I was yesterday. But overall I still think it’s ludicrous to seriously consider doing it. We don’t need more depth and I don’t think there are any obvious candidates for taking Al and something else in return for a bigger, proven talent.

It doesn't bother me...

since I imagine the team is taking this losing streak 5x harder than the fan base. And you know what? KG was one of the all-time great barkers, and it works fine. I know, I know KG > AJ, but I still don’t view it as a problem.

Generally, I think getting on each other's a good thing...

… but with Foye (whose confidence is probably at an all-time low) and Brewer (whose confidence is growing, but remains fragile) I’m not sure it helps for the best player on the team to scream about turnovers or not getting him the ball.

I never think yelling is leadership, but that may just be the Midwesterner in me. I didn’t think it was when KG did it either, but maybe I did give him more of a pass for being a better player.

by wyn on Nov 20, 2008 8:05 AM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah I can't say I'm a big fan either.

I just don’t see what it achieves, other than telling anyone within earshot “I’m better than this a**hole I’m yelling at.” I don’t see it as leadership either…but maybe it’s just the prairie boy in me.

Yay, finally! If only I had league pass :(.

Would you guys be sweeties and go to http://ilp.nba.com . You’ll get redirected to the “country not supported thing”, please pick “Belgium” from the list. Thanks ;)

dude that is absolutely ridiculous...

…can’t you somehow hook up to a French or Dutch feed or something? That really sucks.

by plinytheelder on Nov 20, 2008 10:07 AM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Hooking up is no problem with the US feed, it’s paying online that’s not possible when faking your somewhere you’re not ;)
