GameThread: @ Charlotte

Minnesota Timberwolves at Charlotte Bobcats, Dec 1, 2008 6:00 PM CST

We already had plenty of Bobcats talk in the GameDay post, but the man says I gotta do the GameThreads. But, the man is right anyway.

I'm going down to Tracy's to watch the game. 1/2 price burger's and wooden nickel 2-for-1s SON!

Go Wolves.

Good point

this is probably Carney’s big break, guess they’ll find a way to play all those SG/SF guys after all…

When did clay Aiken join def leppard?

And when did he get courtside seats to the bobcats?

Aiken is More than Just Openly Gay

That Guy is a Flaming Faggot.

Just a reminder to keep...

…the language clean here on the site. We also frown upon racial, sexual, and religious slurs. We’re not going to censor anybody because we believe in self-policing and we’re not going to ask for any apologies because the internets are notoriously hard to gauge intent, but we’d appreciate it if faggot wasn’t used on this site.

Thanks...

…I don’t want this site to be a place where people feel uncomfortable expressing their opinion and that works a number of different ways. One of the things that I think this site offers that other Wolves sites do not is a willingness to tie basketball into other areas of life, politics, etc and my discomfort here has less to do with a value judgment about what you were trying to say than the way in which it was done….if that makes any sense.

Disagrement and interesting takes create good discussions but I don’t want it to cross the line into name calling and the use of words that are considered slurs by a large number of our readership. I guess what I’m saying is that you could have made the same point by simply saying that Aiken was walking down the path of Liberace….or something similar. I don’t want to stiffle the basic point…just the execution. Plus, I think the readers of this site are all open enough to realize that no one intends to cross the line and that should such a thing happen we’re all adult enough to work it out in a reasonable manner.

makes me wonder

why I’m watching this game and not reading a book or hanging out with my wife or something.

Hey by the way do they always show the games at Tracy’s? For the ones on FSN I’ve tried a couple of places near my house (Mortimer’s and CC Club) but they seem about as interested in the Wolves as the rest of MN. It gets tiresome to always ask the bartender or whoever to find the game.

by plinytheelder on Dec 1, 2008 7:11 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

yeah the whole thing's depressing,

nobody’s there, Charlotte’s getting a bunch of 3pt plays, everybody’s sleepwalking, and B.Cardinal is about to come in. I think I might switch this off pretty damn soon.

by plinytheelder on Dec 1, 2008 7:29 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

lol Foye is looking like g*ddam D-Wade out there`

doesn’t make up for those terrible 1st half passes but oh well

btw if Cardinal isn’t going to foul a guy going to the basket for a dunk what is he out there for?

by plinytheelder on Dec 1, 2008 7:40 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Wittman is an idiot

With Brewer out why not go to an 8 man rotation, instead he makes it a 10 man rotation taking more minutes away from Foye and Love, the guys who need more court time. Wittman has no freaking clue. None.

by DR_JPK on Dec 1, 2008 7:52 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

My god

This game is winnable, and we have a love, mccants, gomes, ollie, cardinal lineup for multiple minutes now.

How can you not have either foye or miller on the floor? Witt is asking to be fired.

He's not an athlete

but love is freaking smart.

by Sterno on Dec 1, 2008 8:02 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Ollie's playing well though,

guess Wittman figured Telfair didn’t have the stroke tonight.

I’m kind of torn on him, I like Ollie a lot.

by plinytheelder on Dec 1, 2008 8:02 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

f*ck Wittman has Gomes at the 4 for one possession

and they get a 3pt play. Why should that ever happen?

by plinytheelder on Dec 1, 2008 8:07 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

my mistake he's still at the 4

what is going on…argh…biting skin around nails…
