In a wise non-roster move, Minnesota Timberwolves officials Friday pulled TV ads featuring faux-sportscaster Don Overbeck – citing a need to present a more serious marketing message.

That is absolutely insane!
“a need to present a more serious marketing message” – this line is literally terrifying – between market-speak, seriousness (as in “are you f***ing serious?”), non-admission of absolute failure…wow. I guess I should just relax, and I’m glad to see those commercials off the air…but wow.

I say we keep the spirit of Overbeck alive by using his catchphrases once in a while.

They'll need a new marketing strategy...
…I suggest “Minnesota Timberwolves: Not in the face!!!”

Why don't they just put Jim Peterson on the commercials with Big AL
and let him talk about how great AL is and how he is a future HOFer and how he’s so much better than KG.
