Even though this was a fantastic move, I have to take him down a notch on the bump into Stuckey (?). What was that? Shad’s entire career epitomized in about 5 seconds of amazement and numbskullery?
In fact, if Shad has another great game tonight people might start to talk about holding onto him. To the contrary, he’s just hot, not necessarily turning the whole corner. If that’s the case, “hot” is the time to trade someone high.
I like the idea of trying to move him to Golden State. I don’t really care who they get in return: the Italian kid, Wright, the big guy…doesn’t matter. Shaddy is made for Nellyball and I think he’d make a nice fit there.
And you’re right about not needing to bump anyone. That was a clown move.
If the Wolves draft below 2nd, I think they should try to execute the Italian Option: draft Gallinari, trade for Marco Belinelli, and throw whatever they can at the Raptors for Andrea Bargnani. Start Gallinari at the 3, Bargnani at the 5 and bring Belinelli off the bench as the 3rd guard. It’s gimmicky but at least Italy would like the Wolves.
