not Wolves related: Seattle moving to Oklahoma

story

Its a shame that Seattle will not have a pro basketball team (unless another team is placed there). I always thought they were a pretty good basketball town. This will effect the Wolves somewhat, since OK City are in the same time zone so that means one less 9pm central time start

Lets hope this Oklahoma City thing works out for the long run. I hope a situation like this does not happen for the Wolves

The OKC Drillers?

I have family in OKC and am married to an Okie so this is kind of exciting for me as we’ve always kind of toyed with the idea of moving back there. The Sonics will get a team back in the form of the Hornets and all will be well. The team will do well in OKC. They’ll draw from OKC and Tulsa as well as some fans from Wichita and Kansas City. There’s a big NBA void from Memphis to Colorado and Dallas to Minnesota. There’s no other pro teams in town and they should be able to support the team. I’m happy that Oklahoma finally has a pro team.

ahhh..good thought

I guess i did not think of that big void.

The Drillers…yeah thats probably a leading candidate for a nickname, I can see them in a Black/Orange color scheme like the Oklahoma State

Realignment...

Currently Memphis is the only team that does not follow the unwritten rule of the Mississippi River being the divider between the Eastern and Western Conferences.

I think they move Oklahoma City to the WC Southwest, Memphis would then move to the EC Central, and Milwaukee would move to the WC Northwest. That makes the most sense IMO.
