New Wolves Uni? I hope not. That may be some of the worst lettering in the league if these are the new threads. My guess is that if this is a real photo, this is a practice top and the real jersey is underneath.

No, this is it. The photo is from the rookie shoot for the player’s cards and they were wearing their new jerseys (along with the Kings and Magic). These weren’t supposed to be out, but Getty Images leaked them.

Wow...
...that lettering is fugly. I read earlier in the week that the rookies with new unis would wear a practice jersey to cover up the new unis. There were a few pictures of the guys from OKC with their practice jerseys on. He is wearing 2 jerseys in the picture and I’m hoping that the one underneath is the new uni (with the old bordering).

Looks like a misprint
I hope that ain’t the jersey either. Too small and too wrong looking.
It definitely could be the real jersey poking out between his shoulder and neck, unless it’s just a touch of trim from the old jersey added to the neck-lining of the new jerseys. I hope it’s just a practice jersey.
If this is the real jersey, petition them to never take off the warmups during the actual games.

I think it is...
Getty has asked many sites to remove this picture and the Kings picture because the NBA didn’t want them out until the teams unveiled them. Getty even took them off their page…

Of course...
...the more I think of it, I remember reading something about how the new unis were going to look more like the Lynx unis. Crap, these are the new uniforms.

I kind of like the simplicity of it, the old ones were too “busy” for me. The only problem is the lettering, which I find gimmicky.

Exactly...
...spot on with the lettering. It seems too small. I like the uncluttered-ness of it all, but the lettering seems silly.

Yeah
I’m kind of with you on that. I mean, I don’t love the looks of this (and I suspect that’s not really it) but when it comes to sports unis, I’m definately in the less-is-more camp. (Perhaps to an extreme, as this is coming from a guy who thinks the best uniforms in any sport is a coin toss between Penn State football and the Detroit Lions throwbacks.)
My main complaint is again the color, though. I really hate that expansion era turqoise/seawater color, so as long as they keep featuring that I’m not going to like it. And I don’t like that kalaidoscope thing on the sides.

It's a dull, flat color
I never liked T-Wolves grey-blue either. It’s a depressing color.
Not that I have any ideas to really change the Timberwolves jerseys to, but just not having the letters so damn small would be my first improvement. Bennet Salvatore will never be able to read that!

I always thought...
...the Wolves should have gray unis. Gray with blue lettering, white bordering, and green highlights.

A little.
There’s not too many gray unis out there. I think I saw the Nets with one a while back.

I like it
The blue you guys got going, and the green, are great as trims but I don’t necessarily like ‘em as the main colors.
Make it happen! Your idea, I mean! Gain power within the franchise and implement your change in uniform design! Go! Run! Andale!

That's the bad part
It’s hard to tell, and looks ‘real’ enough to maybe be just a bad new jersey, and definitely not ‘practice jersey-esque’ enough to for sure not be the new jersey.
I mean, I’ve never seen that NICE of a practice jersey, which are usually very plain and mesh and don’t have a real design and logo to it. These do.
I think I read last year that it takes 2 to 3 years for a jersey to be designed and approved and put into effect by the NBA… anyone know if that is true? I thought I read it in relation to the Wizards alternate gold/black jerseys.

Don't jerseys usually have the....
TEAM NAME on them. This is a complete disaster. I was hoping they’d slowly fad into a more old school color scheme. This is what I’d expect from a jersey cerca 1998.

From TrueHoop (Abbot was at the shoot)
“The Uniforms
The photos that are taken today will be on these players’ official Upper Deck and Topps cards. The NBA also takes photos for their vast photo archive.
But some teams are about to unveil new uniforms.
So the players from those teams have been asked to be sneaky. They are wearing the new uniforms. But when they are not being photographed, they are wearing shooting shirts over the top so the secret .”
That doesn’t look like a “shooting shirt”, so that would have to be the uni. Man, those are ugly. And the size of the “Minnesota” is so small to make it seem as if they are ashamed. Ouch.

What exactly is a “shooting shirt”? Does that make you shoot better? Maybe Brewer didn’t get his yet.

Lol, in case you’re serious, a shooting shirt is a shirt you wear during shootaround. It so happens I had a friend of a friend in the USA and he bought a timberwolves’ one for me:

I will say this...
By my recollection, I’m not as upset about these as I was when they unveiled their first change of uniform in the mid 90s. I never, ever came around that one.
But again, that weird stuff on the side…what’s the point? It looks like levels on a soundboard.
Also, anyone know if the Target Center floor’s going to change looks? The current look (which was changed with the first switch in the 90s, IIRC) reflects their old unis on a few ways.

That was an awful era for uniforms
So many teams had cartoony logos on the jerseys. The Raps, Rockets, Sonics, Grizz, Warriors, etc all used cartoony kid logos. So awful.
Maybe it’s not too late for the T-Wolves to add a cartoony wolf to the jersey? Maybe he can wear a bandana, give a thumbs up or sumthin’?
