More Uniform Madness
Here's a picture of the back of the uniform:

And the side:

Also, while the team can't have an alternate jersey this year, here's hoping they go with black or green in the very near future. Over at Real GM, the following photo-edits were posted by Funkatron101. I'm loving both of them:

I think the black unis would be just about the best in the league. I've always wondered why green never got a good run with the squad.
Anywho, here's my vote for the black unis. I think they should be the full-time road gear. What say you?

I
I don’t really like black basketball uni’s
and the Green uni’s reminds me of a Minnesota Lynx jersey

I like these...
As much as I’d prefer a classic look a la Boston or Detroit, the Wolves are an expansion-era team, so that’s just not going to happen. But I like these. A big improvement over what they’ve had, IMO. I don’t like the trees on the neckline (just ditch them), and again, the toilet-bowl-cleanser blue… I agree, that black look eventually needs to take over (as their previous version basically did, it seems). I like the green, too, but it seems a bit too close to the Mavs’ alternates.
Again, I’ll be curious if the Target Center floor has a new look, as well.

I’m liking the green a lot. Normally I don’t really like green ones but this one looks nice. Here’s hoping there’s a bassy alternate by next year.

I agree, I like these more. I wonder if the absence of the third colour isn’t part of what makes these uniforms nicer. Just less going on.
Warning: the following may be completely inane.
I think the problem with the blue and green is this: it’s an extremely strong combination. A combination like green and black or blue and white works because the colours complement one another; blue and green are sort of trying to do the same thing. Hence their combination is counterintuitive.
Which isn’t to say bad – you just have to be inventive with them. Remember that fantastic green and blue Stereolab album cover? Well OK maybe it was 2 shades of green but you get the picture. Anyways this is the problem – Stereolab is getting cool design people to do their covers; I’m guessing the Wolves are getting fairly conservative (not politically, I mean stylistically) people to do the uniforms. And then, as S/P said somewhere in here, the design is vetted by a bunch of lame league people.
Anyways, what I’m saying is this: if you want something very simple and classic, like say the Penn State football uniforms, or the Celtics or Pistons uniforms as Jianfu mentions, then that’s fine, but you can’t do it with blue and green. If, however, you want to do blue and green…fine, but then why not hire someone who can actually do something with those colours? I say go all the way and hire some fashion design firm from Milan or Tokyo! Now that would be dope, probably even translate into some more wins if only because the clothes make the man. Hell even if they lost by 30 the other teams would be envious, Kobe would probably ask for a trade here just for the style points. They could even do different fabrics for different cities – linen for those trips to Atlanta and Miami, merino wool for January home games, maybe a throwback acrylic jersey once or twice a year. And think of the warmup accessory possibilities!
OK I’ll end here since this outdoes even my lame standards, any Wolves executives who might be reading please direct your attention to the following website:

I agree...
…about the blue and green. It’s OK, but there it’s caught in between simple and cartoonish.

the blue-gray
was cool by me, and I think blue-gray trim on the black uniform would look great.

Side Tree Line
The side tree line on the jersey looks phallic.
I fool all the people all the time.

Maybe it's an accurate representation of an actual wolf member. :)

After thinking about it for a day...
I really don’t like the design on the sides. It clutters up a very small space on the uniform, and doesn’t look that good besides. I’d much rather have straight colors on them. Other than that, I think that look quite good.

I don’t like these uniforms, but I do like the idea of introducing a green alternate once the moratorium lifts in 2010. After all, they are the TIMBERwolves.

They started out...
….with just “Wolves” in 89. They had bigger lettering back then and they went with the crowded “Timberwolves” during KG’s time with the squad. I think this is a nod to the original uniform as well as being a way to say they’re starting over.

love the black
That black would an all time favorite wolves uni to me. I agree with the sentiments above that going to 2 colors really takes it up a notch.
