The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced forward Craig Smith underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee. Dr. Charles Moon of Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Center in Los Angeles performed the surgery this afternoon. Smith will be re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks.

Well...
it wouldn’t be the Wolves without offseason knee surgery.

Nope...
...now if they could just find a way to make some bad deals it would feel “right” again.

Trade Deadline bate?
Maybe Smith is only around to trade around the deadline? Trying to make-up a silver lining.

I still...
...don’t get the signing. Pops or Nick Fazekas both could have filled that spot for less.

Maybe because he’s a fan favourite? + I’m not so sure Pops’ would be as good in the NBA as Rhino is. He looked good in Summer League but I think he’s one of those guys that looks good against weak competition…

Perhaps...
...but he’d have been just as cheap and would have had just as many minutes. They already know what they’re getting in Smith. Oh well.

I'd rather have Pops...
regardless if he’s less talented than Craig Smith. Pops is an athletic big man, something we don’t have on the entire roster.
