Throw Noah Off the Boat?
Wages of Wins on the Bulls/Noah situation.
Just keeping a spot warm for him. I could be happy with a Jefferson-Love-Noah big man rotation for a long time.

Indeed...
….it’s something we’ve talked about on this site for a long time. Even before Love. The guy is exactly what you want in the front court rotation from a backup. The rebounding would be insane. Please trade now.

Craig Smith would probably have to be involved....
…and maybe even another team. Maybe get the Wiz on the phone and see if there’s something that can be done with Hughes. Here’s where my Fantasy GM wish for Caron Butler could come into play ;)

Aren't you guys worried
about the issues that seem to be coming up in Chicago? I know he looks perfect for MN on paper but it also looks – and I say this without having read a whole lot about the Chicago stuff – like he basically thinks he’s a lot better than he is, doesn’t like coming off the bench, maybe doesn’t take too well to tough love, deferring, etc. Not to mention that he’s not the most offensively skilled guy in the world.
Like I said, it looks great on paper – if anyone compliments Love and Jefferson, it’s him – and maybe a laid back guy like McHale would be just what he needs. I should also admit that I couldn’t stand this guy in college, I loved his defensive game but to me he was the classic example of a bully: he was the 5th-best offensive player on his team, but this wouldn’t keep him from trash-talking for the whole game. Frankly I think I agree with both of you – I’d probably trade for him if the deal were right. But all the other stuff gives me pause.

It does..
…but we have no way of verifying that sort of thing so I’ll have to stick with what we can see on paper. He’s an athletic backup at the 4/5 which is something the team needs in a bad way…especially with size.

Plus..
…with him and Love out there together, the rebounding would be insane.

There would be designed plays . . .
where Shoddy would crank a three attempt off the backboard, into the waiting arms of Love or Noah for the putback.

Too true, but three factors in the Wolves' favor
1. Maybe CoBrew being here will calm him down
2. The frontline of Love and Scowlin’ Al will be easier for him to play with than what the Bulls had to offer
3. He’s a low-cost risk—small money, expiring soon.
Wolves get: Hinrich, Hughes, and Noah
Bulls get: Miller, Colllins, Smith, Shoddy, and Mad Dog
We get a bigger point guard, more scoring off the bench, and some energy. Bulls get a shooter, six fouls, a mini-Barkley, a back-up to Ben Gordon, and in Mad Dog, the exact opposite of Noah’s alleged attitude. Plus, they free up some cap room to extend Rose (and maybe Ty Thomas), and go after a free agent in 2010.
AND THE WOLVES WILL BE FREE TO PICK THABEET!

Try to write a paragraph like that
It’s like attempting to write in French after listening to a Berlitz course for an hour.

I'd have to say no to Hinrich, too...
I like the guy, and although he’s flawed, he’s a PG who can defend and shoot, which would be nice. But his contract is just too ugly. And like Deng, he seems to be going in the wrong direction quickly.
I wonder if something simpler could do the trick. Rhino plus Jazz pick for Noah. Or something.
As for Noah’s attitude, I have no idea. The spaz/high-maintanance factor with the Wolves seems much lower, though. When you surround a guy like Noah with Andres Nocioni and Vinny DelNegro, maybe you’re going to have some issues. The Wolves have a bunch of cooler heads (Al, Foye, Love, McHale), so maybe it could be a better match. (Although we’d have to see if Scowlin’ Al turned his frown towards Noah.)
The funny thing is coming out of college, Noah’s attitude and leadership were considered pluses. Like Corey Brewer, he was considered an off-the-charts intangibles guy.
Who knows? As someone else said, it’s not like it’s a huge risk to acquire him, seeing as how he’s on his rookie contract.

Yes--
I remember that being said often about Noah before the draft. It’s amazing how winning all the time can cheer a player up!
It’s been referenced here before, but when the Wolves were starting to disintegrate before the KG trade, I would have traded my eye teeth to swap the Bulls roster for the Wolves. Today? No. And yes, it’s amazing how winning five in a row can cheer a fan up.

I think if they want Hinrich,
part of the cost is taking Hughes.

I think just a simple...
….Smith + Shaddy for Noah deal works best for everyone involved. Maybe throw in the Utah pick if they fuss.

Hinrich's Contract is an Albatross...
And now he’s a second stringer behind Rose. I imagine the Bulls would have to throw in some pick considerations if they could find a taker for Hinrich.

i mean, nah mayn
I’m on board with Hinrich, i think he’d be a great fit mayn fo dis here team mayn. but:
1. Larry Hughes is not very good mayn. Mike Miller is much better. Trust me mayn.
2. According to ESPN’s Chad Ford mayn, Joakim Noah has gone on a strict diet consiting solely on Toaster Strudels since he came into de leage. To help him stick to dis diet he chiefs on de haze mayn. Not de player i want.
MAYN HOL UP!
