No Radio Feeds either or no streams any place else yet...good luck folks.
as for me..I’m sitting down and enjoying a little college hockey tonight, The Gophers vs the Fighting Sioux on FSN North tonight.
Jefferson two decent defensive plays since he's been back in
The one strip, and then he smothered that drive.
Continued defensive hustle from Al
He’s putting out the effort tonight. Getting back better, that kind of thing.
That’s all you can ask.. If he’d just step up more and make plays like that, I’d be pretty damn happy. The lack of effort is what kills him..
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
Based on the last five minutes or so
I’d say the weight, and his condition once he gets it back, are going to make a difference. He’s lighter, he’s getting up and down.
He still doesn’t have the instincts, though. Still gets tangled up half a step behind the offensive counter-move.
that was a fantastic play...
….by sessions. he saw love running his lane on the break and he couldn’t make the pass so he shot it up knowing he’d either make it or love would likely get the board.

the 1/2 court offense...
……is horrible.
Forever splitting the Cheechakos from the Sourdoughs

Although....
at this point Rambis is probably willing to try anything! This totally reminds me of last season with everyone all gummed up in Wittman’s halfcourt sets. NO ONE could hit a shot. Remember? McCants, Foye, Gomes….Just horrible.

How has it taken Ty Thomas this long to realize that all he needs to do offensively is make off-ball cuts? When Brad Miller’s your C, you can make a living off of cuts with that sort of absurd athleticism. That kid’s going to be something awesome if he ever actually figures it out..
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
no kidding...
….he’s 6’7 or 6’8 with a 7 footers wingspan and a 6’6 shooting guard’s hops.

Awesome
Pecherov should be able to shoot us right back into this thing!
yep
love has had a rough preseason with his +/-…it’s been bad
Forever splitting the Cheechakos from the Sourdoughs

disappointed.....
to see love get fouls so quickly he has to learn to control and harness that energy and hustle….
Might have to bring the big gun out soon....
Brian Cardinal
Stewie...
Just hit a 3…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
And then a nice putback for 2...
Stewie has already outdone his performance from WED in about 1 minute.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Love the hustle
Has a bit more motor in him than I remember in the SL

Got backdoored on an easy Noah dunk...
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Lordy
Someone had to hit a shot. Gomes, Ellington, Sessions, Flynn, and Jefferson were 2-23! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such futility from a sample of 5 players! I think the basketball gods evened things out with Pech’s little flourish there. I suspect the other guys will do better in the 2nd half and he’ll start laying bricks again.
by Rascal Flatts on Oct 16, 2009 8:05 PM CDT up reply actions
oooo
“actually, the Wolves are playing much better without Love and Jefferson in there”
Chi announcers
Holy crap...Pav just passed up an open 3
Also, Sessions jump shot is just awful.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Agreed in general, but it’s still a small sample size. I don’t expect shooting to be a strong point by any means, but guys like Gomes and Ellington are going to start knocking those open shots down. Right now we’re bricking EVERYTHING.
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
five more preseason games
to tune up with.
Not as bad as it looks. Better than last game. D first, offense comes with good D.
mos def.....
offense and streaking down the court will be very important… though they do have a handful of shooter, gomes, ellington, pavs. i still think they are much more athletically suited to run, because they seem to really struggle to hit. but i agree with you xand1 this is a just terrible showing, not necessarily the norm every night.
so far this preseason
our advantages, in general, have come in FTA, FT%, and rebound differential. this game, at half time, we’re down two rebounds, have taken 10 fewer FTAs, and hit 10% better.
it’s amazing we’re in this at all when that’s all combined with the horrible shooting.
Weird game – check the box. They’re shooting more FT’s, a better % from the field, are outrebounding us and out-assisting us, and yet we’re only down 7. Why? We’ve shot 12 more times than they have… weird.
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
We're hustling
I haven’t seen any lazy play. Hell, even Jefferson came out to play some D tonight.
by Rascal Flatts on Oct 16, 2009 8:19 PM CDT up reply actions
2 for 28
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen 5 rotation players put up a more futile shooting performance for a half. Wow! I can’t believe we’re in this thing!
seriously
we’re at the point in preseason where coaches are pushing too hard and players are confused.
All I ask for are occasional flashes of brilliance. Anything else would be too much to ask.
I agree...
The half court offense clearly has not reached any sort of comfort level yet.
They look like I did the first time I went to an organized B-Ball camp. The coaches started drawing up plays, and I was lost. The only play I knew was throw the ball to me and watch me score…
Mind you, I was in 6th grade at the time.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Let's see how Love responds in the second half
He took a beating from Tyrus in the first. That shot of him on the bench, he had the same shellshocked expression that Randy Foye did last year when he got blitzed by Russell Westbrook.
1st half thoughts...
I missed parts of the 1st quarter, but:
- Our team outside shooting looks terrible again. Maybe we could build the team a new arena with al the bricks we will see this year
- Some lapses, but our overall perimeter D will be a million times better this year
- Stewie may have some niche value after all. Pav has been bombing a bit again, but has shown a little more to his game tonight (bringing the ball up, putting it on the floor and driving, helping on the D glass)
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
What a way to start the 2nd half...
Flynn banks in a 3.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
What is the over-under this season on the number of times Ryan Hollins fouls out?
2PF in 7 minutes, got 5 in about 12 the other night.
Judd: "...I've since watched some Steven Seagal movies and I realise that pressure points are no laughing matter.".
Gibson would have been a nice pickup in the 2nd round..
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
Would have been very nice...
Considering Chicago took him in the late 1st.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Sssh!
I knew he dropped late. Thought it was the 2nd for some reason. Either way, he could be a nice player, especially for a late 1st.
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
I watch a lot of Pac10
And was a huge proponent of us taking him. Wouldn’t have used a 1st rounder though, which is what it would have taken.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Not to be contradictory
But my memory was that Chicago reached at took him earlier than most thought he should have gone. :-P
This is a family blog. Keep it clean..
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
Take it strong to the hole!!!
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
I've seen this movie....
Judd: "...I've since watched some Steven Seagal movies and I realise that pressure points are no laughing matter.".
They actually had a sweet angle for that play too. The top-down shot really let you see the play develop and the great pass from Klove.
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
These Chicago announcers...
are terrible. Do they know anything about the Wolves and/or our players from last year?
What a disgrace.
A million times better, strange as that sounds.
So far they’ve ragged on us for the Rubio trade, lamenting how good Miller and Foye were, laughed at the Magic for thinking they’re better with Vince than Hedo (they’re much better) and so on and so forth.
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.
I love that they said how much better Rubio would have made us this year...
Wow.

I hope we don't play Princeton this year...
Because the back door cut is killing us.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
That’s always been the case. Lack of ability has never been his problem, just lack of effort. I really hope he steps it up this year, because he has good length and shows surprising timing on the rare occasion that he’s in the right spot at the right time. He has no excuse not to be at least average..
Jennings: F*** the Knicks, them n***** is always going to be weak.

How many sets for Al on the low block have we run tonight?
I honestly can barely remember any…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Only a couple
I think Rambis wants to drill the triangle into these guys. Al is so far out of his comfort zone offensively. Plenty of PnR thought tonight. But they’re just letting the open man shoot and collapsing in the middle. Good strategy by the Bulls.

I think we're on to something here SnP...
During the reg season, just type “We can’t score on this possession” every time. We’ll score everty time, and win the NBA title.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
OK, let's test it...
…Ellington is playing like ass. He can’t do anything right.

Jesus christ..get technical about it
since they are the only medical personel on site..i’m sure they diagnosed it that way.
Let's not panic...
Hairline fracture in a finger would prob only take 3-4 weeks to heal. Actual reg season missed time may be no more than 1 or 2 weeks.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Here's more info on the Love Injury
Kevin Love broke the fourth metacarpal bone in his left hand in the third quarter of tonight’s game at Chicago.
He went to the locker room with fewer than four minutes remaining in the quarter, after apparently injuring the hand going for a rebound.
Exact same injury as Ike Diogu had in his rookie season
He missed 4-5 weeks as I recall. Not major, but not good either.
It's not his knee or anything
Sucks, but he’ll be back this season. Hopefully early this season.
4-8 weeks according to the wife (RN) and her shift's on call doctor
I don’t know how that translates to professional athletes but it’s not a terrible injury. Still, a broken bone:

I can’t remember him taking it to the rack as a sonic very often. But he, ties it up.

Absolutely...
Played D, hit jumpers, ran the floor, good on the D glass again. I would love to get this from him consistently.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Good chance to see Rambis' end of game management here...
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
He's probably glad
That he doesn’t have to give it to Kobe for a 30% fade away jumper. Of course, the way they’ve been shooting tonight…
Yeah, it's preseason
The only consolation I have is knowing that Wayne Ellington can’t shoot this poorly all the time… right?
Let's see if we can actually get a decent shot off...
Unlike last year…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Guess not...
Way to go Pech.
Rambis needs to pull him and Pav aside and tell them they don’t have to shoot EVERY time they touch the ball.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
I think Rambis is going to kill Stewie

Did he just design that play for Pech?
If he did, it was brilliant. Last guy they’d be expecting, and sadly, one of our best options for 3.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
For once, I agree with the bulls' announcers
I don’t want Corey Brewer taking that shot. Unless he’s been hypnotized in the off-season to stop clanking jumpers.
I didn't want that either, but...
…Corey was the only guy open for the inbound pass and no one gave him a good passing lane as he went up the floor.
Bad shot for sure, but Corey was our best player tonight. That’s something at least.
Who?
Brewer and Pecherov both missed game tying 3s.
He Carradine'd the last shot
