There aren't really any teams where Daniels will have a better spot.

I thik the logic is...
… that he for SURE wouldn’t get burn with us sufficient for a new contract at year’s end, so he wanted to push hard for that kind of shot elsewhere. Whether that was a good bet or not remains to be seen. I agree that it’s going to be tough for him no matter where he lands.
