Ball Movement
I couldn’t agree more about the ball movement. Ball movement can really mask a lot of deficiencies in the talent level of a team. The Wolves have shown that the last three games they have played. Last night I was really impressed with how well the players played within the offense. No one was trying to do too much and shots were taken within the flow of the offense. if the Wolves can shoot at a 40% or above clip I think they are going to give teams a lot more trouble than most people think.

Pekovic=>Rudy. Get over it wow.
Simple stats show that Love/jefferson are a better rebounding dual then Oden/Priz/LMA

…i kind of left that one alone. my experience with that crowd has been emotionally draining to say the least.

especially considering that oden and pryz don’t often see the court together. there’s a reason they omitted the guy who actually plays the 4 for that team (LMA): he’s a crappy rebounder.

It's too bad you couldn't have done the interview tonight
when you could have pointed out that
THE MAGIC NUMBER FOR THE WOLVES TO END UP WITH A BETTER RECORD THAN THE BLAZERS IS NOW DOWN TO JUST 81!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoyable read
I was a little intrigued by the the Sixers trade proposal. Given all the homerism trade crap thrown out (yes, I’m guilty too), what do you think the realistic odds are that DK could pull something like that off? And what would such a deal really hinge on-economic climate? Poor Sixers record? Injuries?

i dont like....
…To put “sources say” stuff on the site but by everything we hear from folks who know more than us is that some teams are going to make some very strange decisions based on finances and that philly could be one of these teams. That being said I’m pitching this as my opinion and I don’t want to lay it at the feet of anyone else. I’m working on a post that hashes it out in a way that doesn’t need anon sources.

Groovy
I appreciate your candor and explanation with the how’s and why’s of your approach to handling this. It’s really the first that I’d heard of such a deal even being thought of (at least with Philly), and it’s one that makes me excited as a fan. I think Dalembert could help us a lot, even though his production isn’t commensurate with his contract. Thad Young is super enticing. Acquiring him suddenly makes Brewer and Ellington’s roles much more defined (at least to me).
The last observation I will make is how I’m not filled with dread after hearing about this. In prior years you’d hear about some potential deals the Wolves could be in on, and I’d start feeling dread because I knew the prior regime wouldn’t make it happen. It sucked. And then if a deal did happen it was often a head scratcher or one that left you feeling like when you get mushy mini donuts at the State Fair-they’re still alright, but nowhere near as good as what they could’ve/should’ve/might’ve been. With DK + Rambis and Co., I have much greater faith that they will make every effort to sniff out these deals and if they can net more value than they give up will make every effort to get a deal done. The Boston analogy is a good one. This crew could go from a 25-30 win squad to a 35-40 win squad pretty quickly.

I agree that
the wolves win total from this year (whatever that is) could easily jump 10 wins next year simply by getting enough of your core to get the system with a few additional (more ideal) pieces through FA and the draft. I am intrigued by the sixers trade idea, but for what they are getting out of it, I am not sure that they get a first unless it is delayed for another year or so. The talent difference between sessions and Dalambert and Young is definitely leaning towards D and Y, but the 4M versus.15M in salary comittment isn’t comensurate with the proporation. That’s why I would prefer to see no pick going over.
But I may just be greedy.

It might be needed to grease the wheels
Because the Sixers theoretically have a starting PG and young backup. If Sweet Lou doesn’t work out, I could see this deal happening, but not before that time. Jordan has never needed a true 1 to play PG in his offense, so Sessions might hold less value to them than to other teams.

I don’t think it will take long for them to realize how much they miss Andre Miller. Lou Williams is talented, but he’s not a true 1, and Holiday is very raw, so I could see this as possible..
When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story.

Thad Young AND Dalembert?
And all we give up is Sessions, expiring, and a 1st? If Kahn pulls that one off, we’ll have to give him a new nickname. How about Willie Sutton?
BTW, if we get Dally, we have two highly-paid centers. Now what?

Where is this possible deal being reported?

It's not..
….I just want to be clear about that. I’m saying the climate is right for a lopsided deal because of finances and this is the type of crazy deal that could be the result. Just to clarify. I’ll have more in a future post.
