Anyone want to trade for Okafor?
This will go in my NBA update tomorrow, but might as well let people start talking about it now.
The Hornets are reportedly talking about trading Okafor to the Kings for Kenny Thomas. Ya….Kenny Thomas. It’s a complete, 100%, get-us-under-the-cap firesale move.
Which would seemingly imply any team with a giant expiring contract (like, say…..Mark Blount’s???) could trade for Okafor.

If I had a wish
It would be that Brewer doesn’t shoot as much this game. Don’t care about any new system/coach excuses, an NBA player should should not be shooting 36%. Or if he is, then he shouldn’t try to “shoot his way out” of the slump

A great alley-oop to Bogut as well
who promptly screamed like an animal.

meeks puts in a 3/4 court shot at the buzzer for the bucks.
more excitement in a single quarter than the wolves have had all season long.

most excitement this year
was Dallas sideline reporting asking which city is better, Minnesota or Milwaukee. Must have gone to the Palin School for Advanced Studies in American Geography

Damn, we should have been feeding Hollins the ball all game
He made some nice strides tonight. Which is pretty much the only positive in the game

Well, that was game we gave away...
Very winnable, if we had just taken care of the ball and rebounded.

3 days off before the Rockets
Maybe we’ll see some things worked out in practice before Wednesday.
This will be the first time this season that the Wolves get more than one day to rest between games.

55
I back Kahn and Flynn as much as anyone, but this is a hard one to stomach.
by Oceanary on Nov 14, 2009 10:03 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Indeed it is
Also, I just noticed we have a -13.8 point differential. Nobody else has a lower one, and nobody else has a positive point differential higher than that either. Next worst is NJ with a -10.3. Things are not going well.

At least we didn't draft him
then trade him the same night. 55 is most impressive, especially throughout 3 quarters. But the more important issue is, will he make his team better overall. Or, is he another Iverson. Still, the Wolves have never had anyone who could light it up like that.

Man, look at that roster he’s been working with lately. I think he’s unquestionably making them better, and he’ll be making strides in that area too.
by museum on Nov 14, 2009 10:36 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Well, he doesn't really have any talent around him to judge by
He could pass, and has been facilitating, but Bogut is the only other consistent scorer for the Bucks, so Jennings kind of has to be Iverson by default.
I think Flynn has the potential to be just as good, if not better, but I also think we’re at the point now of questioning why there’s just a disparity between them (and between Jonny and Ty Lawson). Is it the triangle? Lack of talent on the roster? Is Jonny just not as good as we think?
I’ll cover this in my update tomorrow so everyone can sound off.

I can tell you exactly what Jonny is thinking every time he brings the ball up.
A – Setup the triangle, run to the opposite corner, and play with myself for 15 seconds.
B – Try to create a shot for one of my teammates who then has a 30 percent chance of hitting the wide open shot I gave them and a 70 percent chance of bricking it.
C – Drive to the basket and get knocked on my ass with a 10 percent chance of getting a foul called and a 90 percent chance of a charge or no call because the refs hate my team.
D – If I choose the incorrect option or execute it improperly, coach is taking me out and putting Sessions in.
E – This sucks. I should have stayed at Syracuse where my team would have been top 5 preseason, and I could have hung out at the $15 million Carmelo Anthony center all day.

Good point about the talent
Whatever the case, it was a most impressive performance. He shot lights out from beyond the arc too.

Need to adjust it slightly.
Change D to E and E to F.
New D should be – Just shoot it myself from wherever I am standing at the moment.
