2nd Annual Hoopus Night: Choose Your Own Adventure
via www.metromag.com
Hoopus readers and Wolves faithful alike, it's time to begin planning this year's Hoopus Night at the Target Center. Last year the team was generous enough to reserve a suite for people who bought a $25 ticket for Hoopus Night. It was a good night of drinks and commiserating, although we lost to the Suns.
This year, I'd like to get input for the planning to ensure that the event appeals to you all as much as possible. SO, I want to know your thoughts on the following:
- What opponent would you most interested in seeing?
- What day of the week would you prefer? Is opponent more important than day of the week?
- Where would you prefer seats to be?
- What's a reasonable price point for tickets? Is price more important than seat section and amenities?

Opponent: An entertaining team that’s just bad enough to increase the likelihood of a competitive game (fringe playoff team in the East or West)
Day of the Week: Weekends are best (including Friday night)
Seats: ends of court if lower level, midcourt if upper level (best value)
Tickets: below $40 would be great

In my case, being from southern Minnesota means I’d be far more likely to make a weekend game (Friday or Saturday); especially including it being a night game with a possible drink or two.
As far as opponents go, literally the only team I could think of saying no to would be the Bobcats. Our basketball games are offensively ugly enough as it is, we don’t need a team who is just as bad on that end to make it worse. Marquee teams are fun to watch in terms of star power and talent, and most other teams would be competitive or fast-paced or have enough interesting young players to watch.
I’d like to see seats in the lower bowl somewhere or front-of-upper-deck; possibly another suite if that works best. Price-wise, I agree with PSR and would say below 40 bucks is where I would prefer.

Not sure if I could make it anyways
but being I am in college, I wouldn’t have a chance if it wasn’t sometime in late December or January.

Cripes, do you even have to ask?
You are not only a gentleman and a knowledgeable source of overall basketball information and insight, but you also provide a fantastic level of Outsider’s Perspective, without getting all Blazers Edgy.
So yes, please be there.
Unless you’re a Dirty Swede. Then I don’t associate with your kind.

I wouldn't see why not
You can console us on our horrible team with strong coaching and we can console you on your strong team with horrible coaching. It’s a win/win of lose/lose.

Probably Thursday or Friday Nights
As far as teams- the Wolves are so bad it doesn’t matter. At least with an awful team- you might see a win.

Sounds interesting.....
Here are my thoughts:
Mid week- Tuesday or Thursday
Price is important.
I would be curious to here what this event looked like last year….do we meet up anywhere? Is there any fun activities or events along with the game? I would really be interested in hearing how last years event went down….
Lets get Bill Laimbeer involved…I love that guy! =)

Weekends work better than weekdays for me, but I can schedule around a weekday if need be. I wouldn’t mind a suite, but certainly I’d like to be at least in the lower deck.
Who do you get your deals through Stop-n-Pop? I have a contact in the PR department that might be able to get us a bargain.
