Rebounding leaders
Was just looking up some stats, and it looks like our boy KLove won't be able to win a rebounding title this year because I don't think he'll qualify (assuming that you either can finish with 70 games played or 800 total rebounds).
It's really too bad, too, because Love is dominating the league qualifiers right now. Dwight Howard is #1 overall in rebounds per 48 at 17.9, followed by one Dajuan Blair, J. Noah, J. Pryz, and M. Camby (at 16.5). If Love qualified he'd be the clear #1 at 18.8 rebounds per 48. Dude's got skills.
The only other thing I'd like to throw out there is further recognition of Love's game and ability to contribute in multiple different ways. Yes, it's clear that he is a tenacious rebounder who believes that he can get any loose ball out there. But when I see another young, under-heighted player in Dajaun Blair with similar rebounding rates only get 14.4 mpg on a team that could really use more production out of him, it just makes me appreciate that Love does have enough shooting and facilitation ability to warrant significant minutes. He ain't perfect, but he's also pretty difficult to replace.

70 games played is the cut-off?
That seems awfully strict. I would’ve guessed 60.

Sorry, kind of random comment.
I’m trying to post a new FanPost for top 10 Wolves dunks of this season, but the Youtube videos aren’t working- none of them. Does anyone know why?

Answer my question or Corey will get mad at you. (then he won't be on the top 10 list)

He should qualify easily if his rebounding rate stays where it is now...
With his minutes on an upward climb he has a good chance of averaging the 12.5 RPG he would need to reach the 800 total rebound threshold, assuming he’s able to stay healthy and play in every game the rest of the way. He’s missed 18 games so 64*12.5=800. That’s enough to qualify for the leaderboard, right? Or am I understanding it wrong?

No, I think your math is correct
I was too lazy to figure out the actual math, and I think I underestimated his average boards per game (using a roughly 60 games at 10 or 11 boards = around 650 boards for the season). I hope he gets enough to be recognized among the league leaders. It would suck to end up with 790 and be ‘officially’ omitted from the standings.

Are you sure it's that high?
70/82 games seems a little high to me too. I feel like in previous seasons there have been people discussing league leaders sometime around the allstar break… Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me though.

He can still qualify
If he grabs 800 rebounds which he should do. If he plays every game for the rest of the year that would give him 66 games on the season. Right now Love is on pace for 869 rebounds for the season. I think it is very possible that he wins the rebounding title this year.
