Thinking way outside the box, for those who think the wolves need a long 7 foot shot blocker down low how about this trade with the LA Lakers:
To LA:
To MN:
Trade works in the trade machine. LA does this to save $$$. Jefferson makes less than Bynum, LA already has a legit 7 foot presence in Gasol, Big Al is young, and brings post scoring. Bynum is great, but is inconsistent. LA is giving extensions to Kobe and Pau, so they need to save $$. Fisher is old, Farmar is inconsistent, Sessions is the PG for the next 4 years of the championship run.
Twolves do it (although I would not) to get a legit 7 foot shot blocking young center to play alongside Kevin Love. Twolves take the risk with Bynum. Wolves take on extra salary to get the player with more upside. Farmar is the new back up PG for the year but him and Morrison are expirings. Luke Walton has a long contract, but is a Rambis favorite that provides veteran leadership, amazing passing ability, and knowledge of the triangle offense.
No way this happens, but boy would that be interesting. I think the Lakers would improve, given that Bynum has played limited minutes these past two playoffs and they've done well. This trade makes sense for the Wolves if you think they really need that shot blocking presence. Wolves then take a wing in the draft.
