McCants’ first shot as a King was a missed dunk in the second quarter. He finished with zero points in 10 minutes.

Par for the course, no?
Will he even be in the league next year? Maybe he’ll get invited to training camp, or a European team will make him an offer.
he should get a sniff...
….as he can theoretically produce for 15-20/game for very little money. However, he’s that big of a head case where he may just play his way into the Euro League….which may be good for him as he can be a bigger fish in a smaller pond. I personally think he’s playing himself to Russia.

Isn’t he on the same team now as that dude he hates, whats his name Francisco Garcia? The two of them couldn’t stand each other. That must be awkward. I know McCants will pull through though, if for no other reason than to torment us all.
I think that...
….his boobishness is to such a level where spite isn’t even an option. Spite requires some level of self-awareness. The moon is pink on his planet.

If every team Sacramento played scored 40 points in the first 5 minutes, putting the game out of reach, McCants would score 25 points a night. If he was good enough to warrant a nickname, I would call him the garbage man because he excels in garbage time.
What I’m saying is that I hope McCants gets enough garbage time to sucker some stupid team into giving him money. Hell, maybe if he gets enough minutes, he’ll reach Ricky Davis status. Granted, he’d be more likable than Ricky Davis.

I have no doubt
that Rashad would also intentionally miss a shot to grab the board, so he could get a triple double. He just needs a chance.
Haterade
Y’all ready for refills on your haterade yet? Dang…
Shaddy frustrated me too, but if he can get things going in Sacto, I’ll be happy for him.
you've got a point
We’re being slightly unfair. For a player who’s played for the wolves over the course of four seasons, McCants hasn’t really had too many chances to prove himself. In his first season, he was a rookie in the Garnett era. In his second season, he suffered a horrible injury. In his third season, Wittman was coaching his team and he actually played alright. This season, he’s just been in a slump and his minutes have been yanked around so much. I imagine it’s hard for a shooter to break out of a slump when he only gets to take 4 shots every 6 games before heading to the bench to collect more dnps.
I hope the Kings give him enough minutes that he can learn about basketball and grow as a player. Heck, maybe a change of venue will do a lot to help him break out of his slump. He could be a bargain for the right team in the offseason. I really would like him to play in an environment that optimizes his productivity and growth, a team where he can get minutes and is surrounded by caring and intelligent teammates and has a good teacher for a coach.

i don't "hate" mccants, but this video (not the dunk, the other part) is why i don't want him on a team i root for

don't llike traveling?
or screaming? or bumping into a player in your way when your team is down double digits in the fourth?

none of the above...

please
He had his chances.
Great one-on-one player. Unfortunately, there are 4 other guys he needs to take into consideration.
