Louisville Prospects

Earl Clark, Terrence Williams

It seems the draft stock of these two players goes up and down more often than Paris Hilton's britches.  Right now on several sites Clark is picked to go pretty high but I have been somewhat down on him lately.  Just the opposite for Williams.  Picked at the end of round 1 or the beginning of round 2, he is really coming on.  He's a freak athlete who can do a lot of things.  His outside stroke looked excellent agains UCONN this week.  He is able to easily rise up from a stand still position and get off his jumper in the face of a defender.  Not a lot of guys can do that, even in the association.  That being said his jumper is still improving.  We know he can drive, defend, and rebound.  He is 6-6 220.  That is either a monster sized 2 guard or a smallish SF.  I wish we could stretch him out to 6-8.  If he was a couple inches taller he would probably be ranked ahead of Clark IMO.  I for one would not hesitate to pick Williams if he were there in the 20's portion of round 1.  Many would say we don't need a 2 guard.  Has Foye REALLY been consistent enough to solidify himself as the long term answer at the 2?  Maybe.  But we all know that he can struggle at times defensively and is a little vertically challenged for the position.  Williams could play the 2 or 3 in various situations.  Right now his stock is up with me.  What do ya'll think?
