Wasn't that Sampson?

Look here junior, don't you be so happy.

He's exceeded most expectations.
He’s not his old man, but he’ll be a nice player. I think he’s got an NBA future.

It will be interesting to see..
….if Tubby can keep this class until they are juniors. Then they would have 2 senior guards, 2 junior bigs, and 2 sophomore studs. 2 years from now is the year they should be really, really good if everyone stays.

Flip seems to think so
I heard him on the radio the other day say that RSIII will be an NBA player.

Game Stream!!!!!!!!
None Yet….should be around soon…I will be in and out…NASCAR Season is Finally Here!!!.
Man how am I supposed to concentrate on this game
with Cathy Wurzer on ch 17?
Morrison-Radmanovic trade just went down.
wow..
….Morrison and Radmanovic is about the least sexy trade possible in the history of the NBA.
The World's Leading Exporter of Small Area Quickness

It also doesn't seem to make much sense for the Bobcats..
….Brown must really not like him.

Michael Jordan is the GM.
Sense should be checked at the door.
lol
I’ve been trying to figure it out…isn’t there some kind of North Dakota or Montana connection with Phil Jackson?
Anyways I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Morrison actually turned into a player under Jackson. I bet he’ll be contributing by the end of the year…and it’ll be seen as another error by Jordan.

yo
i have a similar feeling about morrison; doesn’t he seem to have some kind of attitudinal/emotional complex that keeps him from playing well? i don’t get it. but i’m guessing that some time with phil j and kobe might just straighten him out. will be interesting to watch the perimeter dynamic as he tries to break in around vujacic and farmar.

wasn't phil jackson in grand forks for something? I feel like we went to UND maybe
by secretarykissinger on Feb 7, 2009 7:51 PM CST up reply actions

either Montana or western ND or something? I guess I could just look on wikipedia heh
by plinytheelder on Feb 7, 2009 7:54 PM CST up reply actions
i just looked it up
was born in williston and then yes he did go to UND. he was also state champ dogsled racer and won a blue ribbon at the state fair for the soybeans he grew on his parents’ farm.

Sorry about the stream, strange that there wouldn’t be one for a Rockets game?

SNP did you see this?
Kevin Love, Thug.
There have even been reports of Love purposely slacking off on defense in an attempt to squash perceptions of his hard working style, although players and coaches around the league insist his defensive lapses are largely due to his inferior quickness and leaping ability.

MAYN HOL UP!
The Miller-Foye-McCants trio
is what a lot of us were pumped about before the season began. The fact we actually could throw out 3 floor spacers like that had us drooling. It’s a little late, but I’ll take it!

not a terrible game actually
Wolves gave up a big lead but Houston’s good, as long as they can keep it close they’ll have a chance at the end.
Rockets look so much better with Artest in there.

On a different note....
Miami lost to Philly tonight. Keep in mind Philly is right behind Miami record-wise out East.
anyone else watching this halftime feature?
I think that’s the best I’ve ever seen Mike Miller look – hot suit, cashmere scarf…and a twins cap. Hot.
I also love how the only shot of McCants is when they’re arriving in LA, and the first thing he does is whip out his cell phone…wonder who he’s calling? ;)
Foye
This will probably end up being his 10th straight game shooting the ball less than 50% from the field. He’s back to being a 6th or 7th man combo guard off the bench type player if this keeps up. Right now that 15 game stretch where he shot the ball so well looks like an aberration.
I don't know if I agree -
he’s also being guarded by one of the best defenders in the game. Though it’s true he’s missed a few he usually mkaes.
He’s actually looked better at the 1 tonight…in part because with Shaddy and Miller actually making shots he has someone other than Jefferson to pass the ball to.
by plinytheelder on Feb 7, 2009 9:08 PM CST up reply actions
that's the problem
with giving Shaddy minutes

I can't help feel responsible.
His lapse in form started about the time I labelled him the Carneyvore…..
Greetings all. If anyone has spare snow, mail it to me.
Hot barely describes the last two weeks here and much of the are a to my north is on fire.
Go Wolves.
I was reading about that today...
hope you’re all OK – still 47 degrees?
by plinytheelder on Feb 7, 2009 9:06 PM CST up reply actions
I think the Wolves want to re-sign him on the cheap
and don’t want his stats to attract too much attention.
Man, Artest is really, really good.
They’re like a different team with him in there. What a smart player.
Looking at Love sitting on the bench
I suddenly realized he’s going to look a lot like Gabby Hayes when he gets old
I always think of Gibby Haynes when I see that name.
The World's Leading Exporter of Small Area Quickness
www.canishoopus.com
Interestingly enough....
….Gibby was a baller:
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, he is the son of actor Jerry Haynes, best known as Dallas-based kids’ TV host “Mr. Peppermint.” Haynes was a star on his high school’s basketball team, and he attended Trinity University to study accounting. While at Trinity, Gibby was the captain of the basketball team, president of his fraternity, and was named the Accounting Student of the Year. After graduating, he went to work as an auditor for Peat Marwick accounting firm. After a year of working in accounting, he formed the Butthole Surfers, a group who became notorious for their elaborate stage shows and pervasive, psychedelic music.
…I’m pretty sure I was at a show where he fired a shotgun over the crowd.

…I think we can get ready for a steady diet of McGrady on Foye.
The World's Leading Exporter of Small Area Quickness
www.canishoopus.com
Mike Miller is -21 already.
He’s not even played that many minutes, either. Frustrating.
Alright gents....
…I think this one is out of control and I have to bake some bread for company tomorrow so adios.
The World's Leading Exporter of Small Area Quickness
www.canishoopus.com
Our glaring needs got very obvious tonight:
A point man. When Telfair went out we couldn’t get a basket anymore. I’d even use Foye only at the point in case of injury. Yes he can handle the ball but not if he’s the only guy who can handle it.
A backup big man. We need a big man. At the start Yao wasn’t being agressive and so we got a lot of points through our defense. We need to have an anchor in the middle there because when Yao did get started we got hit way to hard and when you end up in a half court over and over against the Rockets, you’re toast.
A starting cal SF. As much as I like Gomes, he’s a career backup. He plays way too much. I didn’t see Carney in there and I actually don’t really get why. We needed to run but didnt’. Either Brew or Carney start to show they are worthy of starting or we need someone else there; either way, our needs are obvious.
Other than that, I felt there were some stretches where they just looked tired. It seemed like they didn’t give it 100% the whole time.
