After watching James Johnson of Wake Forest play recently, I'm convinced he'll end up being picked in the top half of round 1 of this year's draft. He shows flashes of a Glen Robinson type of game. A very powerful small forward who is extremely athletic with a lot of moves offensively. Very smooth, and has great handles for a guy his size (6-8 230). He can coast at times defensively but when he concentrates on it, he is an excellent defender. As of today he is up to 16 on draftexpress.com's mock, but remains at 25 on nbadraft.net. If he is available with our pick in the teens, it would be a nice option in my opinion. I like him better than Aminu and I can't say that Earl Clark is better than him either. He just has so much to his offensive arsenal. I can roll with this for next year:
-Dalembert at C (via trade)
-top PG with our 1st pick (Jennings, Rubio, Teague, Curry - depending on how high we pick)
-James Johnson with our 2nd pick
-Terrence Williams with our 3rd pick.
I think I'll give Hoiberg a call (just kidding). Anyways, what are your thoughts on James Johnson.
