The return of Shaddy. With the 15th pick in the 2009 WNBA Draft, the Minnesota Lynx select Rashanda McCants. Her brother must be proud.

Not satisfied with only being a better basketball player than Rashad...
… rumor has it Rashanda has started writing poetry and has a budding relationship with Khloe Kardashian.

Same college (UNC)? Check
Same college number (32)? Check
Same last name? Check
Same first name (+n,a)? Check
Same face? Check
Drafted by a pro franchise in the same state (with nearly the same draft pick!!)? Check
If Rashad was born to be hated, I think Shandy must be, too.

I know nothing about women's hoops...
… but if Paris is so good, why did her numbers dip every year in college?

I lost interest in the Lynx when they failed to overpay for Lindsey Whalen. They could have traded for her rights and actually built up some interest in the team, but noooooo. They could also build interest by winning but that doesn’t seem to be in their game plan.
Right?
That baffled me. If a marginal league (think the Northern League baseball) isn’t pulling out all the stops to try to generate fan loyalty and interest, why should the fans work so hard to support it? Although I’ve never watched an entire game (although I did attend a Minnesota Fillies game as a kid), I like that the WNBA exists, and that the best female basketball players in the world can eke out a living playing their sport. But they need to stop taking themselves so damn seriously, and start realizing that the NBA can’t/won’t subsidize their existence forever. Start an “allocation” draft to keep local favorites in the same market as their alma maters.
It's doubly surprising when you consider what the NBA used to do...
… with regional player allocation. If you’re struggling to build a fanbase around a new team, having players the fanbase already knows is too obvious.
And, since the NBA grew since that era, I’m going to go ahead and assume that strategy worked pretty well.

Those comments are hilarious!
Why did Rashad recently twitter “who is college wolf” to mark madsen? Does that have anything to do with you?
