The Weekly Nichols: Developing a Rating for Selfishness
via Hardwood Paroxysm
Rodney Carney makes the Most Selfish list and Mike Miller makes the Least Selfish list.
It's a pretty rudimentary stat (FGA/AST) but definitely worth refining. I'd like to see some possession or touch inclusion.

This is no shock.
I’m glad to see a metric such as this. Although Carney was never really in a position to create for others. Not that he would have if he had been.
What's ironic
is that Mike Miller could not have possibly been more selfish with his play last season, defiantly wanting to show his younger teammates how to “play the right way” by facilitating ball movement, despite the fact he was by far the best shooter on a team in desperate need of someone that could make a shot. In Carney’s case, he was often the recipient of Miller’s kickouts. My God, someone had to shoot the ball. At least he rose up with confidence and pulled the trigger. Too bad he was so inconsistent.
