Am I the only person that thinks K Love will be a "15 and 12 and 4"player in 2 or 3 years? (all star when some over rated PF gets hurt around all star wknd and cant be in haha))
Everywhere I look he gets dismissed for this or that... Belive me, I've seen all the "great white hopes" come in and out of the league.. people taller then K Love with a better jumper even. HE is just "special" in certain ways.
He obviously got screwed over by not making the rookie teams... But he will be an asset on the sophmore team and run some fools. Just his numbers alone were competitive.. I think it's LAME that the league doesn't appreciate rebounders. He is clearly going to be a dominating rebounder. Easily.
Last year he was number THREE in the league overall in offensive rebounds.
- Dwight Howard
- Okafor
- K-Love
And he was NINTH overall in total rebounds. He only avg 25.3 mins a game! That is 8 mins less then everyone ahead of him on that list.
Sure you can argue he got blocked or missed lay ups and got those rebounds.. spin it however you want. Karl Malone was the most blocked forward in history (fact) and no one complained. I am not saying he is the mail man, but I am saying that vertical leap isn't everything. Those guys come and go.. Darius Miles rings a bell. HE came in as a 19 year old too i believe. Where is he now?
If K-Love remains a starter there is no reason he can't develop a JAY out to 20 ft..(we've all seen the youtube videos it's very realistic to think by the time he's 25 that he could have a nice three and be a great mid range shooter) and you could see his learning curve was sharp and fast this year, by the end of the year he was getting blocked less and getting more and ones from using his body properly. His FT percentage is about 80% and his TOs per game is 1.4 which is acceptable. He needs more assists obviously but like I said, they don't run plays to him or through him often. HE is the one receiving assists at this point
IDK I love this kid his upside is huge.. maybe I am preaching to the choir here but i'd take him over david lee or some other person.... not too mention I like his tweets haha and he is a cool down to earth guy who ids humble and happy to be with Al JEFF

I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in a couple of years. If his jump shot comes around and he plays 30-35 minutes next year, it could happen then.

I mean 15 and 12, not borderline All-Star. That would probably require 18 and 12 with 4 assists.

I definitely see Love as a possible All Star.
He has en elite skill that will keep on the floor, and he’s shown a lot of promise in the other areas of the game, too, along with displaying a great personality and head for the game.
If he shows any improvement at all (which, barring injury, a player so young always will), it’s not unreasonable to expect an All Star appearance now and again from him, even if his physical limitations prevent him from ascending to the status of Perpetual All Star.
I think he'll be one of the 12 Best Players in the Western Conference
But not make many All-Star Teams. For Love’s skills go underappreciated in such voting (Rebounds, Setting Picks, Maintaining Postion in the Post, Getting to the Free-Throw Line) in favor of the Media’s favorite stat scoring. This is why Amare is considered a Superstar (Although he is a dynamic scorer) inspite of the other serious holes in his game.
