Rubio's buyout expected to be negotiated down

From rotoworld.com

The Timberwolves are reportedly still tyring to facilitate Ricky Rubio's buyout, and Rubio has $600,000 in endorsements lined up if he plays for Minnesota next season.

According to Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press, Rubio's $6.6 million buyout is "expected to be negotiated down" to about $3.3 million, which he would be able to repay over several years. This is some of the most promising information that's surfaced in some time, giving renewed hope that we'll see Rubio in a Timberwolves jersey next season.

If this happens, this is great news for all Minnesota Timberwolves fans. Rubio would be able to pay the buyout off. This would mean that Ricky Rubio might come to Minnesota this season. It basically contradicts the fanpost saying that Ricky will come to the NBA in 2011.

I know that anything can change really quickly, as we've seen so much with his situation, but this is some positive news after a lot of negative news saying that Ricky Rubio will go back to DKV Joventut.
