Mark Madsen waived

From Yahoo:

LOS ANGELES (AP)—The Los Angeles Clippers have waived forward Mark Madsen.

Madsen was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves on July 22 along with Sebastian Telfair and Craig Smith in exchange for Quentin Richardson.

The Clippers’ roster currently stands at 12 players.

Star-divide

What's Mark Madsen going to do now? What team will actually sign him? I like Mark Madsen, but I'm hoping that the Wolves don't get him. Please comment.

He made a small amount of talent stretch

A great distance.

But Mark Madsen and the Nba part ways here.

Best of luck to him

If anyone

can find any good highlight packages of Mad Dog dominating at Stanford, that would be great.

We all love Mark as a person

Wouldn’t it be great if he could become the TV “color analyst”?

I don’t think he was THAT bad of a player. We’ll have to see I guess

We got Rubio!

The reason I voted yes

Was because he is a good team defender who understands where he needs to be on offense. The guy was in the rotation for some good Lakers teams and the best team in Wolves history.

spotted on CNN/SI "Truth & Rumors"...

“It will be interesting to see if the Timberwolves, in need of a legitimate small forward, make a run at Memphis’ 6-8, 240-pound Rudy Gay, who can become a restricted free agent next summer and might not be affordable for the Grizzlies. Ricky Rubio could be worthwhile trade bait.”

People on here

thought trading Rubio for Gay was desirable? Ugh, not me. Also, Ricky already made his views on Memphis pretty clear before the draft.

Not exactly...

I don’t think anyone was advocating we trade Rubio for Gay. But the reporters “original and creative” speculation that the Wolves may make a run at a guy like Gay.

Getting Rudy Gay: like

Giving up Rubio in the process: rediculous

We got Rubio!

yeah

We could probably do better with Rubio, but I do agree a Rubio trade is highly likely. Most likely Flynn is their guy, and Rubio was/is viewed as a highly valuable trade asset. I mean, really, why select Flynn with the next pick if he is not your targeted player. Maybe Rubio will dazzle in camp and they will rethink that position, but I suspect all the “Rubio is starting” talk is hype to pump up his value.

I don't think you go to that much trouble

for a bargaining chip.

The Wolves could get the same effect by moving his rights after all.

I think they’ll get a season together and then make an assessment.
