Swap Foye for Roy and look at our pythagorean win total (lower right numbers). Not nearly as big a difference as I might have thought.

If we'd kept Brandon Roy though...

… we’d still have KG. I’m positive of that. And that, more than anything, is what still rubs me wrong about the whole ordeal. Not that we lost a shot at Roy for the chance at Foye, but that we cost ourselves the greatest player our franchise may know for quite some time.

Kevin Love isn't as good as KG?

No, he's not.

And neither is LaMarcus Aldridge.

Not yet.

Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried.

Nonsense!

Had you kept Roy and had KG… Minny would be scary as hell.

Big D from Blog-A-Bull - "Pritchard is such a genius that teams just give him players for free."

Greg Oden - The only other rookie with more than 500 points, 400 rebounds, and 65 blocks in under 1400 minutes played. Since 1946

Roy+KG and ...

Ray Allen would still have been on the team. Oh, then add Cassell, talk about dynasty! Then if we had drafted Danny Granger instead of McCants, and… and…

I'm not going to respond at length...

… but I’m not sure that’s what my comment was suggesting.

I'm with you...

that had we kept Roy, we likely would have kept KG. Two solid players that would have meshed well together.

What also rubs me wrong about that deal is how McFail went for more potential/more risk over lower ceiling/lower risk one more time. And missed at the cost of the The Franchise. He got it right on KG, but he kept using that hammer. Maybe he got it right with Love over Mayo – sure looks that way now, and he deserves credit for that one. But he wouldn’t ‘settle’ for drafting ‘a very good player on a very good team’ level of player.
