1/2 Way There, pt. ii
The goods are below the fold.
As we mentioned in the last post, the Wolves' main source of (relative) success over the last 20 games was the improvement at the power forward position. This can be traced to a single player:

Love isn't the greatest defender in the world but his offensive efficiency is so out-of-this-world good for a 21 year old big with less than 60 games started that it more than makes up for any deficiencies on the defensive end of the court.

Again, Kevin Love is so far and away the best player on this team right now it's really not even a contest. Here's hoping that Al Jefferson can get back to full speed as soon as possible.

OK, that about does it for the raw data post. I'm going to follow this up with a post about Flynn v. Sessions and another one that ties up some of the loose ends with all of this data. Right now, I'm running out of room for this post and there's not enough space to do what I need to do.
Until later.

for 5 man units jefferson, love, Sessions and either wilkins, brewer or ellington, gomes should get more playing time.
for best on the floor performance. .(as opposed to development for Flynn etc)
jefferson
Love
Sessions
and add…..some combination of Wilkins & Gomes at SF, and Ellington & Brewer at SG.

I'd like to see some more of lineup 8...
…along with the same lineup but with Flynn to see how that goes
The thing I found most interesting
were the lineups. They basically confirm what we have been saying for a while now.
The best unit was Sessions/Ellington/Gomes/Love/Jefferson with an entire backup lineup of Flynn/Brewer/Gomes/Hollins/Jawai
Gomes plays in both, but I’d think he could easily be swapped out for Wilkins without too much of an issue. We’ve even pointed out that Flynn/Brewer and Sessions/Ellington are better combos overall. Also, Flynn seems to work well with Hollins, catching him on many cut attempts.
