Here is a quick and dirty recap of what Kahn said. Anything in () is my response or take.
Love and Jefferson will only be separated if it makes the team better, "nothing more." (Perhaps a dismissal of the jealousy rumor). If they are to play together long term, a third big men who is athletic and long is needed. About a minute later he mentioned Hollins could be that guy if he improves and gets stronger. (Seemed like an afterthought to me).
Love needs to improve all around game, especially the low post. However, Kahn is impressed with Love's all around game.
Jefferson needs to "keep" improving defensively. (Seems to be saying he is improving). Also, Al S/B 100% by end of season.
Pekovic should be coming over in the summer, but until he sees him play next month he does not know how Pekovic might fit in with the Wolves. Pekovic is a classic 'back to the basket' player. (Seems odd to me in light of what he said about needing another piece inside. Sounds like trade bait unless he sees something to change his mind).
Doesn't anticipate trading CORE pieces before the deadline.
Flynn and Rubio can play together. No defined PG or SG, just both guards, like Lowry and Brooks.
Sessions was brought in to be a quality starter if Flynn needed more time. (Since he is probably not considered a "Core" player, could be moved before the deadline).
Teams biggest need: Shooting and scoring, especially from the wing. (Aldrich not a priority?).
Most interesting to me, he said it is more important to find a player who plays well running from end to end, while being able to shoot, pass, and drive, vs. being able to play in the Triangle. (Two takes here - The player is more important than the Triangle, also...sounds like Evan Turner to me).
Corey's shooting is getting better, but needs to keep improving. He is not a 2 or 3, but a wing.
Ellington has been a pleasant surprise, not sure he is a starter, but will have a long career.
Hoiberg has an intricate role and runs the day-to-day ops.
He avoided questions about the draft and free agency, NBA fines were brought up by the moderator.
