Recent Basketball-Reference on the Wolves

Ryan Gomes or Kevin Love as All-Stars? The Wolves 2nd-worst in "Fan Loyalty" the past decade? Have I done a good job of getting you to read under the jump?

First, they attempted to quantify fan loyalty based on attendance relative to team success. Read the whole thing to learn more, but the Wolves ranked just above the Nets as the teams with the "least loyal" fans. This isn't surprising for several reasons (4th-favorite team in the area, have to compete with the state sport, hockey, during their entire season unlike the Vikings and Twins, I've been to less than 10 games in my life and consider myself a loyal fan which I'm obviously not), but it's weird to see it quantified

Second, the site looked at which players deserve All-Star bids based on the advanced stats, and lo and behold, if they picked them by adjusted +/-, Ryan Gomes(?) would be on the team (though check out some of the other names on the list), and if they went by statistical +/- and PER, Kevin Love would be on the team. Obviously, Love is more plausible than Gomes, but it's an interesting take nonetheless and worth the read.

Your thoughts on the two topics?
