Should the Timberwolves be pursuing Danillo Gallinari?

My personal belief is that the Timberwolves are undersized or undertalented at every position.

I would like to hear your opinions about trading Johnny Flynn to New York for Danillo Gallinari? Salaries match up so the deal is cap neutral. I would much rather propose this trade as opposed to trading rubio.

This get's even better if we get the #1 overall pick. We'd have either wall or turner depending who Kahn likes more with rubio waiting in the wings.

Draft wall Draft turner

PG: wall/sessions turner/sessions

SG: brewer/ellington brewer/ellington

SF: gallinari/gomes gallinari/gomes

PF: love/jefferson love/jefferson

C: jefferson/hollins jefferson/hollins

If we get #1 or #2, it's pretty obvious that we take either wall or turner. Assuming that we are #1 and the nets are #2, I would propose trading wall to NJ to get the #2 pick and something (ie: Yi). We would then have a backcourt of rubio and turner with brewer coming off the bench for defensive purposes. We'd also have sessions to man the point until rubio comes over.

If we get a pick between 3-5, I would be happy if they drafted a big like Aldrich or Cousins. Favors would be okay as well. If we drafted a guy like favors, then it looks like AJ days as a timberwolf are limited. I'd be hesitant to take a wes johnson.

With the two middle round picks, we could get a wing and center. Probably someone like cousins or aldrich at center if they fall and someone like stanley robinson at small forward or xavier henry.

The top second round pick could net us someone like jerome jordan, jaris vernado, or dexter pittman.
