The Great, The Good, The Bad, The Corey Brewer

So the Timberwolves first game is now behind us and we all know that we picked up a well deserved win against the LA Lakers.  For those of you who did or didn't see the game, I'm gonna note what I saw.

The Great-

Mike Beasley's shooting and efficiency

Martell Webster's Offense and Scoring

Big Man's Passing

Highlight reel plays

Anthony Tolliver's ability

Wes Johnson's NBA debut

The Good-

Ridnour's ability to run the team

Fastbreak offense

Corey Brewer's defense

Not missing Al Jefferson

Got a win

Wayne Ellington at PG

The Bad-

Played even with Laker's second unit

Turnovers

No chance to look at Bassy

The Terrible-

Corey Brewer's offense

What I took away from this game is Wayne Ellington can play PG for us.  He may not be a prototypical PG but he can be our PG in this type of a game.  Webster and Beasley could combine for 60 on any given night, while still being efficient.  Corey Brewer is the perfect guy to come off the bench and play big time defense, but his decision and shot making was sub-par.  We turned the ball over a lot, but it was the first real game together, so it was nothing to worry about.  Kevin Love and Darko could combine for 30 points, 12 assists, and 20 boards on any given night.  They are extremely talented passing the ball.  Rambis is questioning Sebastian's ability?  Lazar can pack production into small time.  Pek is a beast.  Martell can shoot.  Wes Johnson, now here is a guy who can flat out play.  He can get to the bucket, shoot the lights out, and score at will.  Ridnour can shoot real nicely, and Flynn won't be missed to badly.

For me right now, it doesn't matter who starts at the SG, whoever it is will get some wide open shots and whoever is the backup will get many chances to score the ball.
