Revisiting Rudy Fernandez

Take it with the required truckload of sal, but via RealGM Rudy Fernandez is supposedly not feelin' it in Portland right now, at least since his amigo Sergio has left. How can and should the Wolves use this alleged development to their benefit?

Rudy is purported to be interested in playing with Real Madrid, and the feeling is likewise. Of course, the question is whether he is more excited about leaving Portland, or going to Madrid.

But there could be an opportunity to not only add an affordable young guard, but make Minnesota that much more attractive to Rubio. Should the Wolves attempt to go after Rudy in the offseason? If so, how much should they give up to get him? Will Portand recognize that it's better to trade Rudy to another NBA team than to get nothing back if he goes back to Spain? Which Wolves assets are likely to interest Portland the most?

Or, on the flip side, should the Wolves approach Portland and say, "Hey, I see you're having trouble keeping Rudy content. We might be interested in sending you the rights to Rubio for the seemingly exorbitant price of _____ ." What would the Wolves want from Portland?
