Vote Corey over MJ NOW!!!!
This will only be around for the rest of the day, but if you see this then you should follow this link and vote for Corey Brewer's posterizing dunk over MJ's dunk. This may be Corey's only shot at greatness. It kind of stinks that he's going against Jordan in the first round though, doesn't seem to stand much of a chance.
Here's the link...Link
The other dunks on the list are pretty good, but I think the worst omission is Vince Carter over Fredrick Weiss. Now that was a dunk!

Good find
Voted. Even if Jordan deserves it (probably does by a little bit), Brewer should be closer than he will end up, so I will gladly give my vote to Brewer.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Brewer at 1/3 of the vote
Considering it’s Sir Michael and all that he’s going up against. They could put up an MJ finger roll over Spud Webb and MJ would get 1/2 of the votes.

Sorry, I meant "His Airness" or something
I think Sir Charles being on the Taco Hell SB ad last night threw me off there on my nicknames.

The MJ dunk over Ewing is one of the most iconic posterizations of all time

I love MJ but...
Brewer’s dunk is a better dunk. I know it’s MJ (and yes I am a huge MJ fan), but it’s not even close. Brewer knocks Fisher over and gets a lot of air. If Brewer had done MJ’s dunk and MJ Brewer’s, it would be one of MJ’s best dunks and Brewer’s dunk would just be a highlight for the night or maybe week and that’s it.

Whatever
Dunking over a short point guard is so much more impressive than doing so over 7’2" Patrick Ewing after you’ve left your own defender flatfooted on the baseline behind you. Right.

So...
I guess all that matters for a great dunk, based on your post, is the size of the defender? MJ’s dunk was a great dunk, but Brewer’s was better-much more entertaining.

Seriously.
Try watching this youtube version of the same dunk. Watch the replay part with the baseline view, starting around 00:40 in the clip.

Jordan leaves John Starks, a solid defender, and Charles Oakley who was doubling him, and then he goes inside and dunks on Ewing in a very photogenic way that people have remembered since 1991.
Brewer, on the other hand, elevates over a small defender in a way that was basically out of control but worked. Sure, he looks huge on the play. He’s got like 9 inches on the guy.

All time favorite dunk was Starks
over Jordan and Grant…

Interesting.
That clips really shows the palm on the pivot. Never notice that before. Ahhhh, the good old days.

I only noticed your grammatical mistakes on the replay. ;-)

I must say
since the topic is what poster would be better… it is by far and away Corey’s dunk. If it was the better, more difficult dunk, then it goes to Jordan hands down.

I voted
Jordan v. Brewer
*
McGrady v. Bryant
*
Starks v. Johnson
*
Chambers v. James
*
Dr. J v. Carter
*
Pippen v. Davis
*
Davis v. James
*
Kemp v. Wade
I’m not a fan of the seeding. Dr. J’s dunk is my favorite in-game dunk of all time, and it’s on track to lose in the first round. Kemp and Wade’s are two of the best as well; both probably would make my final four. It’s also stupid that the Kobe fanboys will probably vote his so-so dunk all the way through, but I’ll complain about that when it happens.

Tom Chambers has to be my favorite.
It says a lot that he’s beating James as well.

Tommy -- good memories.
Chambers was a crazy versatile offensive player. Man.

Have to go Starks
That dunk by Starks in the playoffs felt at the time like he was punctuating the Knicks’ takeover from the Bulls as NBA champions. It was like a dunk by a whole franchise, for a whole franchise.
On the other hand, though, wow, KJ. Kevin Johnson. Man.

(And yes, I know it was an illusion about the Knicks. But ask anyone who saw it at that moment.)

I should read everything before I comment
Good game and a great dunk. I drank the Knicks cool-aid that year! I was living in upstate NY at the time.

The KJ and Pippen dunks were my favorites
Looking back on it, Pippen standing over Ewing afterward looks pretty bad. But the Knicks were so physical with the Bulls for years that this was more of a “we’re not backing down” kind of moment IIRC.
