Comparison of PER's for draftees for 2010 and 2009 (top 25 for each yr)

I've divided the draftees into three categories - Bigs, Wings, Point Guards.

A couple of things are immediately clear.

What are we looking for??  - wings and bigs!!

I voted no

My vote in your poll was no. I say that not because I am negative, but I think realisticaly we can fill one of those voidsbut not two in the same draft. It would be sweet if we could, but I think that counting on that is too optimistic.

you could be right, there are no guarantees in life, but in Kahn's interview he gave the impression that he expected to meet our needs for a wing and big man in this draft.

don’t forget, its not guaranteed, but we could end up with two picks in the top 15 [charlotte pick is currently #13]….

Our lottery pick fills one need and then we have guys like:

Bigs with draft express current ranking:

13) Udoh 26.7

16) Monroe 24.9

17) Alabi 26.9

18) Sanders 30.8

wings with draft express ranking:

14) Henry 21.1

15) Harris 25.1

19) Pondexter 31.4

21) Elliot Williams – 26.7

22) Ebanks 20.5

23) Paul George 27.7

Charlotte's pick isn't currently #13.

They’re in the playoffs as of now so it would be at 16. I don’t think it’s possible to get their pick if they don’t make the playoffs so we’ll either have their pick at 15+ or not at all this offseason.

you are right, I was just looking at where draft express had us, but they are not accounting for playoff teams.

But that doesn’t change my overall point that many good players are available later in the playoffs. I’d argue that a Paul George or a Monroe or Sanders could all make good picks.
