Hardly worth the effort of finding a Korean cooking video

I don't really have anything to say about last night's game.  Lots of non-efforts, crappy play, boring ball, and...is this season over yet?  I have a bad feeling I'm going to need a new Korean cookbook before it's all said and done with.

Today's recipe is chapchae.  It's one of my favorite Korean noodle dishes.  If you don't like the taste of sesame oil, this dish is not for  you.  The hardest part of preparing the dish is getting the right mix of veggies within the noodles.  The noodles that are used in this dish are sticky and hard to stir.  This is a great one-dish meal that is especially tasty after a night out on the town.  It's a full course affair as well as a big bowl of drunken noodles.

Until later.

Haven't had a recipe in a while now...

And as long as we’re on ingredients, I think the ingredient to avoid Korean Cooking Recipes can all be summed up for Mr. Rambis like this (yes, again):

16 Games Left

Part of me feels like this season was wasted a little bit. We weren’t going to win at all, so why not try different lineups? Why not try Al+Love, Sessions+Flynn? Why give minutes to guys who are guaranteed to get no playing time in two years (Pavs, Hollins)? We figured out that Brewer isn’t horrendous, that Flynn is probably an off-guard in the NBA., that we need a better defensive presence in the middle, but a lot of this team’s strengths and weaknesses were obvious from the get go.

This is turning into a broken record on many of our comment threads (Rambis sucks, play Love more, why minutes for Pavs, Hollins cannot play, Al is injured, another Flynn TO, Brewer hits a 3!) but that’s only because it’s fairly obvious to us what’s wrong here. Even if we disagree on the solutions, the problems are obvious.

Because Rambis is building the team around his system, not a system around the team.

So in his mind there is no point to playing Sessions/Flynn or Love/AL (i can’t blame him there, AL & Love have NO future playing together)

As bad as Pavlobrick & Hollins are, they fit the mold of players he wants in his system. Eventually in the future we’ll have guys like this that are actually worthy of playing.

Kahn & Rambis pretty much flat out said at the beginning of the season that this season would be all about implementing the triangle and about this year’s draft. It’s one of the reasons Rambis wanted a 4-year contract. I don’t know why people are so surprised about it.

I think the biggest waste of this season is that Rambis was hired after the draft not before. We wouldn’t have ended up with Flynn then.

At least the NCAA tournament is coming. Would be nice to see a shedule of must-see games with our hoopus-board prospects subtle hint

And it’s been said before .. the season is way too long. 60 games + postseason

That'd be cool

I could go for 65 games, but then make the first round a 7 game series. I think it’d also be cool if the playoffs switched to division winners and then the final top eight teams in the league (be they Western or Eastern Conference teams).

I think that fewer games would yield more entertainment – guys would be fresher, starters might be able to play more minutes, and the playoffs would be even more intense. It’ll never happen, but I think it would make the product that much better.

also cool

would be some type of a tournament for the lottery teams. Perhaps a sudden death tournament with financial bonuses for winning (to players and ownership). Maybe who ever wins gets an special draft pick between the first and second round. Whatever. a Tournament would be kinda cool.

Bring up the DLeague allstars

and disburse them among teams? Could do it as a draft format just for the tournament. Good way to give them some burn in front of teams most likely to need them. Would also be pretty interesting for fans I’d think. It’s like all the college tournaments. Toilet Bowl! Except… basketball.

The better idea is to make it for the last 2 playoff spots...

Cut it back to 74 games and have the non top 6 teams in each conference play each other.

Anybody watching the Gophers game?

It’s a beat down! Purdue can’t buy a bucket. Tubby’s boys might actually make some noise at the Madness this year.

Korean food

Any chance of a Stop-n-Pop Korean lunch to precede drinks preceding the Canis Hoopus audience with Kahn?

Just askin’.

Yes, please do

I for one am looking forward to the Canis Hoopus/win versus a Wade-less Heat night, and would enjoy partaking in one of these appealing Korean dishes that help me forget about poor effort nights.

Also – a schedule/idea of happy hour place before the game would be a good idea -

how much fun would it be if the Canis Hoopers all had kimchi breath when meeting with Kahn?
