Omar Samhan
I can't for the life of me figure out why this guy doesn't show up in any mock drafts. I realize that Kevin Love and Al Jefferson look like speed demons in comparison to him... But I've watched him in two tourney games, and he as been fantastic in both. This guy looks like a pretty talented big, and to think that no one is going to drop even a 2nd round pick on him seems ridiculous. I realize he's in a pretty lame conference, but he's dominated the better teams he has played. He punished Vanderbilt, Gonzaga, Richmond, and is completely dominating Villanova. Can Somebody tell me why this guys game doesn't translate? I know that he's speed is obviously a problem, but to think that a center that averages 21 and 11 cant get a look in the pros is pretty odd to me.

Don't be worried about draft websites missing him.
Teams will definitely look at him and decide for themselves how much he’s worth. Draft websites might miss some people.
And the following mock drafts have him:
Terrible Mock Draft
(In reference to the first one) He doesnt have Evan Turner in there. There is no way we take Favors with Love and Al right now. And he has us picking 8th which cant happen and if we did we would snatch up Aldrich in heart beat.

after his performance during this past year and the tourney
I am totally not sold on Aldrich. Offensive blackhole. May be worse on offense than Brewer was. Ugh.

His offense may be questionable
But I want this guy solely for his defensive purposes, we have absolutely nobody down low who can protect the rim right now. Aldrich fits that role perfectly. Don’t forget he’s from Minnesota too, maybe he’ll start growing sideburns and turn into the Joe Mauer of basketball up here.

ugh
Aldrich couldn’t defend an NBA pnr to save his soul. And I wouldn’t even put Aldrich and senior sideburns in the same sentence if I could possibly avoid it. Aldrich has bust written all over him. I get not needing some offensive force center, but you can’t be a blackhole on offense and not be at least marginally quick on defense.
All Aldrich does is position himself well on D, rebound and block shots. But while his paint defense will be pretty solid, he gives up so much in transition and rotational defense. God, at least Darko can block shots and hedge a pnr. What does Aldrich give us that Darko can’t?

No panic
Some team will take a flier on him and give him a few years as a thirteenth or fouteenth man and see what he can do. He’ll get a shot. What he does with it is up to him.

Good touch, but the man is the slowest player ever.
He won’t do anything in the pros.
You obviously haven't seen me play lol

Shaq...
isn’t a real speed demon these days either! (Not that Samhon is Shaq… but maybe the speed equivalent.)
Thanks for the input guys, it’s nice to see him showing up in places… I’m sure this type of tournament can’t be bad for the draft status either!
Speaking of slow bigs.....

He looked really good but
Adding an even slower and less athletic big doesnt seem like a good idea. However if we can move love and jefferson for picks/wings he would be a great late second round selection as a backup. His defence will be a problem because of how slow he his, one plus is he would never jump at a jefferson fake. His offense is really solid though, he has a nice variety of moves and good short jump shot.
Isn't this just Ben Woodside syndrome all over again?
Adrenaline-fueled small-college guys in the tournament are overrated if they lack the athleticism to play in the NBA. The guys who make it from small colleges (George Hill, Eric Maynor, Jason Thompson, Courtney Lee) all proved they could handle the physical toll and increased speed of the league.
