You guys have shot my idea of trying to get Dwayne Wade in free agency this summer before. So, what I am asking then is if we have no shot (in your opinion) at getting Wade, then shoot me some names of guys that might work for us. I would think that shooting guard is a positional need if we play Brewer at small forward. I would also think that a small forward would be ok if we give Brewer his minutes at the 2 spot. I persoanlly think that Brewer looks a little more comfortable at the 3 spot myself, but that's just my opinion. So, my challenge is to give me some names that you guys think are reasonable.

Gut says....
We make a splash in the trade market, with maybe another smaller signing. Gay is probably the one guy we might just outright try to sign. Other than that, I’m expecting to be a mover and shaker on the trade market around draft time.

I think Josh Childress would be a good value
I don’t know what he was making prior to going to Greece and I don’t know what he’s making now, but my guess is that he’s ready to come back to the NBA. And I also think we’d get the same overall production from him at a much lower price than a “sexier” free agent like Rudy Gay.
Oh if we could get Wade
My life would pretty much be complete. (If you didnt know Wade is by far and away my favorita player)

I know the odds and/or logic say this is crazy
but I would love to see the Wolves make a push for Bosh in a sign and trade. The CBA issue could make a few of these guys want to sign for as much as possible to protect against an NHL style pay cut. The Wolves are one of the few teams that could offer an attractive package to Toronto as an incentive to play. Bosh could find the Wolves attractive, especially if they are in position to draft Turner while having Brewer, Love and Rubio in support.
Basically I’d offer Bosh the extra money he can make via sign and trade, and give Toronto Jefferson, Pekovic and the Utah 1st rounder. Nobody else can give that much up in a sign and trade and still have a team to support Bosh.

I like this idea an awful lot. I would say that the chances of this happening are better than getting Wade in FA as well. You would still be looking at a starting five of Flynn, Brewer, Gomes, Love, and Bosh. That should be a line up we can get excited about. Good thinking rumblebee!

You forgot our first rounder
If we draft Wall/Turner I’d say they would be in that starting lineup, bumping Flynn/Gomes respectively.
Draft pick is major influencer
The summer is going to be greatly influenced by what happens in the lottery. Let’s say we get the number one pick, which puts us in a position where we have to make a trade because Wall, Flynn, and Rubio are way too many PGs. If we have to make a trade what we get back will influence who we pick up.
Let’s get past the lottery before we make too much about which FA will come here.
