Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Well, this is really embarrasing but it's the right thing to do

I apologize to all T-Wolves fans and SBN posters in general for my words in the Mavs blog. That was a really stupid thing to say, and even more considering how well you guys treat me when I stop by when our teams play. Anyone can have a bad day but it’s no excuse for saying something like that. There no reason to act like I was in the Amsterdam or the Abdón Porte watching Nacional (uruguayan soccer reference).

Also, please don't judge the whole Mavericks SBN community for my stupid comments. They don't deserve it.

Again, my apologies. This whole situation really taught me a lesson.

Hmm

I can see why an apology might be required….

Wonderful proverb (and I’m not a fan of proverbs) that is my round about way of saying, “Well done! And we hope to continue seeing you around Canis.”

Richard Nixon could have used you around to give him advice around 1975.

Umm...

So, is he apologizing for the cutting Brewer’s head off comment? Does it really matter? Who cares?

by SF on Mar 6, 2010 7:07 PM CST reply actions

You don't? If so, may I ask why?

Because well, as you can see, some people think it does matter.

What did he say that offended people?

Nope. This is blog world dude.

Say what you like. Unless you’re a politician or an actual representative of the team, you’re a fan, and fans get to say crazy sh*t when they’re pissed about their favorite sports team. I’m not saying apologies are bad, I just think that people get a little soft in expecting an apology anytime anything that could even remotely, possibly perceived as offensive and they think it’s their right. Be passionate man, no one’s gonna judge the whole DAL fan base on one dudes remarks. Now if that ‘one dude’ were a player or Mark Cuban, then we might have beef.

I disagree

I can say whatever I want in MY BLOG. But this is a community. And I realised in the JET’s injury thread that I offended people in it.

agreed

and since it’s a community it’s filled with all different kinds of people. Some who were offended and some who were not offended.

I appreciate your apology, although I was not offended. Some, of course, will paint the offended as weak-minded idiots. Ignore them. This diversity in viewpoint does not mean that you should not apologize.

As the one who quoted your original comment here on the CH side, I feel I should respond. Like littleboxes, I wasn’t personally offended (rather, I was just pointing out a rash reaction to the Brewer/Terry incident), but definitely appreciate the gesture.

Yeah I don't think anyone was personally offended

I commented about it to over on the Mavs blog, but just saying it in response to a different post altogether. I thought it was a bad comment to make and I said just that over there, but I certainly wasn’t offended that a fan of another team would have a rash reaction to a player needing surgery. Scape goats are great! What’s McHale up to these days besides TNT?
