Good Morning/Good Evening
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
SAT night...a tanking team...
Oh yeah…tonight’s gonna be fun. Go get your beverages now kids… Can’t wait to see the “rotations” tonight, but I’m sure Sasha will be involved.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Ooh, Sasha!
How enticing,
Perhaps we can have Pech as the lone tall man in a small ball combo…..
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
That would limit Hollins crapy influence...
Bite your tongue…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Good evening to you as well.
Kevin Love better start alongside Darko… or I will be super pissed.
Lol how can Rambis still stand to start Hollins?… ballsy move if there ever was one.
I think you'll be super pissed then...
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
I'll back Love to have the better career.
Just Rockets homerism
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
Nice start...
Really bringing the energy tonight…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
withink 5 seconds corey turns the ball over
and its not suprising
I remember reading a Rockets fan comment...
Referring to Kevin Love as a “less savvy Louis Scola” and wondering if savvy if meant “smelly-looking.”
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"

Appreciate it
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
sopcast is showing the game in good quality
but the commentary is in chinese… the good thing is they dont really talk much so u hearonly the crowd mostly
Every time they show Kevin Martin...
I keep thinking, “I wish we had Evan Turner to take advantage of your lazy defensive ass.”
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Another horrible, amateur break...
by Flynn…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Credit where it's due...
His outside shot is better than expected…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
i agree.
If only he could play point guard…

Corey! No?
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
Wilkins!
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
Trying to not post anything negative about Flynn tonight
He does have a decent outside shot, and he is only 21. Once he learns to look up when he dribbles he’ll be great!
JONNY!!!
with a nice inside feed to hollins.
Hopefully i dont have to post anything negative about him either (although ive already stated above that he cant play point guard)
by jordanmowbray on Mar 6, 2010 7:31 PM CST up reply actions
Is that Tucker out there?
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
Now I know we're tanking...
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Free Alando!
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
I agree...
But Rambis finally playing him means Kurt is trying to tank, right?
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
They are interchangeable in my mind
I understand the trade was a cap deal for Phoenix, but why not give the kid a go.
We are the team of “player development” are we not?
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
Without Al putting up some big numbers against the Rockets
as he has in the past, should be an interesting challenge for the Pups.

Love and Hollins playing together is toxic
No idea why, but seems like we get bum rushed every time they get extended burn together.
'It's just noise coming out of an ugly scientist.' Michael Scott
Replace the name "Love" with any name on our team...
And I agree with you.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Hollins and Brewer
Brewer makes Hollins look pretty good actually…
Nice pass
Vikes should sign him. He might play more.
"Never make predictions, especially about the future." Casey Stengel
Always amusing...
To hear Hanny exclaim with surprise, “They are hitting every shot!”
Yeah, that happens against us all the time. When you leave shooters wide open…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Darko does some nice hand-offs, too. Too bad he's
psycho. Hope he has an anger management professional to counsel him.
Please Ramon
you have to make that shot.
"Never make predictions, especially about the future." Casey Stengel
Then miss both free throws...
I don’t care what people say about Corey, as long as he starts hitting his free throws and cutting down on the TOs he’s had in the last week, he’s by far the most exciting player on the court at all times.
Then miss the free throws
sorry to sound snarky.
"Never make predictions, especially about the future." Casey Stengel
Darko and Love...
Really complement each other perfectly. I could care less about re-signing Darko…he would want too much to stay. But a player like him is essential.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Cousins? Aldrich?
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
Well...
Warming up to Aldrich. Cousins worries me. And Favors scares the crap out of me – Stromile Swift 2.0 right there…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
I'd like it too...
Just wish he didn’t look like he was having a seizure when he shoots the ball…
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
I should have taken the line on Houston today.
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
minus 4?
"I was trying to focus on breathing," Milicic said. "I was just focusing on breathing so I didn’t die."
Here I thought I had
the 208 for sure after half time. And it came down to the wire.
Would anyone here want to guard Luis Scola?
I think I might get scummy Herpes if I touched him?
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
great perimeter d by us...
until we let Battier take a wide open 3. nice of him to miss it tho…
Except for Love & Jefferson,
we have some piss-poor shooters. I mean, they may have a good night, but none
of them, except those two is consistent
Are people hearing this spin?
Hanny and Pete seem to be ok with Rambis’s rationale that Love is coming off the bench because he’s one of the few players who can be efficient as a starter or a bench player, as if 90% of starters become completely ineffective when they come off the bench. Yeah… ok.
Those guys are too limited. Jeff gets boxed in down low
and let the ball die there? You know he’s gonna shoot every time he backs in. He’ll get trapped. and Flynn? Do you let him just run & gun? He can’t run any plays. It might work.
At least Love can do either.
by WillistonCoyote on Mar 6, 2010 8:02 PM CST up reply actions
Both of them make sense off the bench
Because it doesn’t matter what the quality of players is around them, they will do the same thing they always do, dominate the ball.
Reply button?
That’s a better argument, but it’s not the one they gave. What they implied was that any other Wolves starter would become ineffective upon being moved to the bench.
If they are right
it’s only because most of the players are equally ineffective as starters.
And if that’s the case, you might as well start Love so that he can hit 36 minutes/game.

Kevin Love is putting on a clinic!
how's about just once...
we protect a lead instead of try to cut into one
If Big Al would be try coming off the bench im sure he would be a dominant 6th man. He can score quick and at will, and doesnt play defense..
Am i not the only one that would like to see that?
by jordanmowbray on Mar 6, 2010 8:00 PM CST up reply actions
Good point
Maybe Love shouldn’t be coming off the bench, but he may be the team player who accepts the role…for now.
Jennings is like a mixutre between
Rodman’s style and Iverson’s demeanor with Corey’s shooting.
Trade Flynn for Jennigns
and we are crying over how much better Flynn is than Jennings. That system was made for PGs by a PG. Plus, Bogut is a great guy to work with for a PG.
Exhibit a: Sessions, Ramon
Agree with this...
Jennings has been exposed. Fast as hell, good facilitator, but can’t make a shot.
Jonny is making shots, is fast as hell, and couldn’t facilitate a coffee run.
They are identically valuable
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
It's awful watching him shoot and make a shot
he leaps forward more than Corey used to when he shoots. And he’s made 2 threes while I have been watching. I’m so glad he isn’t on our team.
Awww so cute
Brandon Jennings just said in his League Pass interview that he is in a shooting slump. He thinks it’s a slump! Adorable. He actually thinks he is as good as he was for the first month.
That’s called an “outlier,” Brandon. “Luck” if you aren’t very good with statistics (which seeing as you didn’t go to college most likely cuz you couldn’t hack it…).
A little offside there
why so nasty? I like Jennings; he’s a pretty interesting guy.
by Eric in Madison on Mar 6, 2010 8:20 PM CST up reply actions
Don't see this as "nasty"
Jennings is an average player that had a purple patch in November…
What’s Nasty about pointing that out?
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Oh, but his shot is...
“Developing”
I will be truly surprised if either Flynn or Jennings is ever a significant part of a Championship team.
"I'm gonna make you cry...I'm gonna make you cry and dip my cookie in your tears!!!"
Unfortunately I think Jennings will be some day
because I’d bet he’s gonna leave Milwaukee for LA or another big market.
What makes you think this?
Jennings is the guy who drives around in some non-descript sedan, because he didn’t feel he had earned a fancy car, and wanted to save his money.
He might leave; anyone might change teams. I don’t see Jennings as any more likely than any other player
by Eric in Madison on Mar 6, 2010 8:24 PM CST up reply actions
How do you earn the right to spend your money on a nice car?
I’m assuming he found plenty of other things to spend his money on.
Seems like a grass is greener type player. Left to play in Europe instead of college. Not necessarily saying thats the only thing that means, but he seems that way.
If you say so
I think you’re wrong from the evidence I’ve seen from here.
by Eric in Madison on Mar 6, 2010 8:30 PM CST up reply actions
It is a mystery..
He has diva written all over him, didn’t get the test scores to qualify for NCAA, bizarre workout and draft behavior, bizarre radio interviews about Knicks, Rubio, etc. Yet, played overseas with minimal problems, did buy a reasonable car, says all the right things. After draft night it is hard to criticize him, but before he scared the hell out of me. We’ll see.
'It's just noise coming out of an ugly scientist.' Michael Scott
Call me crazy, but...
I kinda liked some of the comments he made. I wasn’t wild about the Rubio bashing, but the other stuff he said on the radio I liked how he told it like it is. If you can look past the Ebonics and use of the “n word,” he had some surprisingly decent basketball takes.
I really don't want to know
what he would have said about MN had we drafted him… especially after taking Rubio.
He's been a good soldier for Milwaukee
Though drafting Rubio and Jennings back to back would have added an interesting wrinkle.
I like that he called that Sessions was leaving, that Ridnour would be his backup, that the Wolves wouldn’t trade Rubio to the Knicks for peanuts, and that the Knicks dissed him by passing him up for a scrub big man.
I guess we won't know for about
3-5 years.
But I think you’re wrong from your evidence about the car.
We need to set better screens
I always feel like we get absolutely murdered on screens and yet I never see us use them effectively.
Pavs.
Can we trade him for McCants? Someone pick up McCants so we can trade Pavs for him and have a net gain.
As long as Pavs is on this team
I have a legitimate argument for why I should be a professional basketball player.
a) I too can play crappy defense
b) I can probably shoot better than him
c) I know how to pass the ball
d) I’d never play thus never hurt the team
wait, are you sure rambis wouldn't play you?
case in point, pavs

But I know how to rebound and block shots…which is more than I can say for him.

Next year
I’ve grown really tired of this team and am looking forward to some new faces on this team next year.
Over/under on players that suit up next year? 5.5
While I think anyone could be traded, my thoughts.
Most likely back: Love, Brewer, Flynn, Ellington, and Sessions (assuming we don’t get Wall).
50/50: Jefferson, Jawai, Hollins (is he trade-able?), and Darko (who I hope comes back).
Gone: Gomes, Wilkins, Pavs, Pech, Tucker,
by TWolvesFanInLA on Mar 6, 2010 8:24 PM CST up reply actions
i think that's about right
except who takes Hollins?
by ChicagoViking on Mar 6, 2010 8:25 PM CST up reply actions
you're on the right track..
let’s just trade Pavs for a lucky fan who is allowed to jack up as many wild threes as he or she can before Rambis gives ’em the hook. or just give that role to someone from the stands each night. announcer says, rod rodney style: “quick, seat D103, come on down courtside for your jersey and five minutes of nba infamy!!!!”
could seat d103
shoot 34% from 2 and 27% from the 3? yeah, probably
by ChicagoViking on Mar 6, 2010 8:19 PM CST up reply actions
We might need tryouts
I’ve watched those half time shows…
oh, and if it's really a trade...
Pavs has to go watch the rest of the game from seat d103. Can this be part of the April ticket push? I’ll start attending games, I swear.
With the DUI, it might be the best time to do it.

should have to earn his way back to starting lineup
for the knucklehead dui
by ChicagoViking on Mar 6, 2010 8:15 PM CST up reply actions
Wouldn't that be ironic?
Rambis’s original reason for sending Love to the bench was that he didn’t like Love/Jefferson as a defensive combo. With Jefferson out, he now apparently prefers to start two journeymen C’s with Love still on the bench. If Jefferson were to be sent to the bench, he’d now be running the Love/Jefferson combo again!
Awwww
We don’t get Robby Incksmjafewier for the halftime show?!

most surprising wolf to return?
Darko or Gomes or Jeff
by ChicagoViking on Mar 6, 2010 9:08 PM CST up reply actions
Gomes could be an asset
At first I was bummed that we didn’t move him at the deadline. If we cut him ourselves, we’re paying $2.5 million for nothing, and would have $1 million less in cap space.
What I failed to consider, as highlighted by a shrink thread over on RealGM, is that teams toeing the luxury tax line could want him for a $3 million salary reduction, which could result in real savings of up to $10 million. Additionally, amidst the free agency frenzy, Gomes could be sent to a team that is several million dollars short of being able to complete a free agent signing.
If they didn't have Aaron Brooks, though,
they would be as pathetic as we are. That’s the guy keeping them above water.
we need our go-to guy on O

Watching the Bucks announcers
really makes me appreciate the Wolves announcers better.
They just commented how OKC has been so bad that they have had a first round pick almost every year… uhhh, yeah.
They also called Michael Redd one of the best scoreres in the game and the Bucks’ best player. Ok maybe he is a good scorer, but he hurts that team a lot. Not their best player by any means.
Strangely enough, they also think Skiles should win coach of the year. Hmm.
Nothing wrong with that last bit
Skiles has them playing A+ defense, especially considering their individual defensive talents. A lot of people, myself included, thought the Bucks would be battling the Nets, Knicks, and Wolves for the league’s worst record. If they make the playoffs, I’d vote for Skiles.
I'm not saying he isn't a good coach
I’m just saying how obviously biased they are. Which is why the Wolves announcers are a breath of fresh air [in all non Kevin Love related topics].
