Free Tickets to the Season Finale for Hoopus Readers
Now they've gone and done it. In return for maintaining interest in the team's future through a 15 win season, the Timberwolves have invited Hoopus members to come to Wednesday's season finale for FREE.
Moreover, this looks like the beginning of a fan relations campaign aimed at the online community. They'd like to cultivate blog readers as more involved fans, so the offer for tickets requires you to fill out a form, most of which is about future events you'd be interested in.
Even if you don't want to go to Wednesday's game, if you're interested in events the team is hosting for Wolves fans in the blogosphere it may be worth your while to check it out.
Take the blue pill by clicking THIS LINK.
And, to be clear, Hoopus doesn't receive any sort of incentive to point members in their direction. We just wanted to make sure you knew about it.
UPDATE: The team emailed us to say they maxed out on free tickets.

This is tight
I signed up, chose Locker Room Tour, Breakfast/Lunch with Kahn, and Battle of the Blogs.
Thanks for the heads up Wyn. This is a great idea by the Timberwolves as their online community may be their biggest strength.

Even if you did recieve an incentive....
Free tickets for reading your blog? Who cares if you got paid! I mean, maybe some other lesser bloggers might care – but if you can turn your blog into a marketing machine that makes you rich, puts butts in the seats and gives me free tickets (and plenty of interesting content) – I’m in!
(Sadly not for the tickets, I’m busy that night – dang.)
On a serious note – don’t be concerned with ‘selling out’ or “receiving any sort of incentive” just because another blog accuses you of that. The proof is in the pudding – your posts – and not the accusations or denial of accusations. It makes sense for Kahn et al to reach out to opinion leaders – and if that is what you are – embrace it – and take the goodies they offer. If you go stale or corporate – we will know and we will stop reading – but I don’t think that is likely.
Hey, that's pretty cool!
If I didn’t have school on Wednesday I’d go! :o/
You are worth every bit you get, Mr. SnP
I am a MN native but a waaay out of towner, so I cannot participate, but if I were there and able to make a recommendation, the letters F R E E & B E E R would be featured.
Free beer..
…would definitely be an attractive offer.

Great Deal
Thank-you much – this is a great way to connect to the loyal fans who continue to keep the faith.
Great offer, and hopefully a foreshadow of what is to come as the team tries to engage fans and those that write about the team more.

Let's just hope
They don’t bring up Stiemsma back Mad Dog to jack up 3’s to guarantee our draft position. Oh wait, we’re locked into being the second worst team in the league, so we better not be doing that this year.
I say we run every play through Al Jeff to impress the Pistons into an Al for Prince and their pick type of trade.
Signed Up
I signed up last night. Thanks for the tip.

Apparently they ran out right away?
I signed up as soon as I saw this and have heard nothing. Oh well, hopefully still able to have a chance to “win” one of the events/opportunities I signed up for.

I hope this wasn't some BS Marketing ploy to drum up interest and online exposure.
If so, my disappointment and vitrole will know no bounds.

Apparently they didn't feel like e-mailing confirmations until today
Just checked my e-mail and there it is. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

Got My Ticket
I just got mine. There were only about 20 or so people on the list. Anyone know if they are decent tickets or are we looking at the upper deck?

Strangely, the pre-game thing with Hoiberg appears to be only four of us this time.
There were eight last week for Bickerstaff….
