LOLOLOL @ Epic Canis Hoopus Fail

Well before I start, let me just say that if you didn't pick up on this already, the title of this post is a bit of a satire. But my point of this post is basically to request a few things of the Canis community. I'd also like to ask everyone to chime in with things that they have noticed and would like changed around here (from the posters or SnP and Wyn (who has been mysteriously absent for a while now... right around the time Kahn and Rambis went to Europe as a matter of fact...)).

1. I miss CaliWolf's regular comment about a more epic fail than the Timberwolves... it always made me feel better about my fanhood.

2. I am going to try my hardest to ignore College Wolf and his epic fails on this site. We are just as at fault as he is for responding to his LOLOLOLOLs and epic fails... no one should take these personally. If we hadn't been responding and giving his lame and incessant bickering some creedence, we would all have that much less of a headache. Can't we just make him into the next LMA? "I wish College Wolf were here so he could provide his unique ability to help further everyone's understanding of this issue!" I'd love to talk basketball with him, but I'm going to try my best to ignore the annoying jabs and pointless comments.

3. This is also my official attempt at getting Roundhouse unbanned as a peace offering. Worst case scenario, he comes back and SnP has to ban him again. Best case scenario, Roundhouse and College Wolf appreciate the gesture and start talking about basketball in a more civil fashion.

4. As much as it pains me to admit it, College Wolf has a point about people assuming SnP's opinions. Yes, he is a very compelling writer and he usually has the argument to back it up, but there does seem to be a large consensus opinion on many topics after SnP brings them up. And hey, maybe SnP is always right and he just enlightens everyone else to that fact... but I seriously doubt that and I'm sure SnP does as well. I'm not saying CW is right on the money as he definitely exaggerates this by quite a bit (like with the Cousins thing), but there is an obvious consensus shift after SnP states his point (or maybe more people feel safe and don't mind expressing their own agreement). For example, the Jonny-Hate around here is a little extreme. Yes he is short and hasn't learned to make the best decisions or pass that well, and maybe he never will. But I feel like people forget that he is a rookie just because SnP isn't a Jonny fan. The young man deserves a chance.

5. I think TimAllen has had quite enough of the personal attacks (the poor man has resorted to CW for blogpanionship). Sure, throw a light poke in here and there if you respond to his comments with a comment that includes stats. But it's not like his points are completely invalid just because he doesn't provide us with numbers like PER that support his claims. Though it would probably help if TimAllen didn't just respond to something including stats saying he doesn't believe that because stats are stupid (not that you have really said exactly this, but things close to this). But don't respond to him just for the sake of arguing about stats. Nothing would make me happier in this post than to see Feral and TimAllen agree to start with a blank slate. After all, we all have our flaws... well... except College Wolf... but if you two could start responding to each other about basketball, it would easily further some discussions by providing two completely different, well-informed perspectives.

6. I want KLJ to post more, with the caveat that he will not make a fan post every day about how good Love and Jefferson could have been if January hadn't been a major fluke.

7. Also, I have thought about doing this for a while now, but I am not sure I could do it justice as I am not a good teacher and I don't even comprehend all of the stats myself.  I think someone should write up a page (and I know it's been done before, but I think we should have our own CH page that we can change whenever we want) that explains what goes into some of the advanced stats, how they are calculated, and what they mean in terms we can all understand. I know when I first started following them, it took me a while to figure out what TS% was, and that's one of the easier stats to understand. I know I would have been able to pick up on things a lot faster if there was a nice "Advanced Stat Summary" post that was always directly linked to on the front page somewhere. In addition to that, someone could also make a post that gave some basic directions for using the site (navigating, posting, replying, editing, all the different options available while writing, explain how to connect to other SBNation sites, etc). I feel as if this would keep a lot of the posters who test it out and leave after a couple weeks or help some of the people who are too afraid to create an account or take part in the discussions because they don't know how to and don't even know what some of us are talking about with the advanced stats.

Well I'm sure I missed plenty so I'd love some input about things I forgot or things I mentioned. This really has been a great community though and I want to thank everyone who posts here for making it that way. The fact that the Timberwolves still have enough fans to make this site run is a testament more so to the value of this site than it is to Minnesota fair-weather-fandom.
