A scenario for trading Big Al before the draft. (Turner inluded)

Watching the lottery was a devastating site for every Wolves fan out there. And I was motionless for a couple of minutes when they announced that the Wolves will be picking 4th in this year's draft. After that motionless minutes passed by, a light bulb lit from the top of my head.

"The 76ers have no need for Turner....? They have Iggy at the position.."

PG Holiday

SG L. Williams

SF Iggy

PF Brand

C Dalambert

"They need a POINT GUARD!!!" (And we drafted a lot of PG's last year. LOL)

They're a team who needs to dump salary. Already around $9M above salary cap and we're a team with enough cap space to accept their bad contracts. (hopefully we don't get Brand's contract 14.8M / 3yrs.)

So.... With the dream of being Khan for the moment I made some trade scenarios where we draft Turner this year..

1st Scenario:

MIN gets

#2 pick

Dalembert

(Kapono / Willie Green)

76ers gets

Flynn

Pekovic

#16 pick

(Ellington, 2nd Round picks)

We draft Turner with 2 and play Dalembert till end of his contract, and that would be by the year Rubio is expected to come over. So by the time he comes over, we still have cap space to sign a significant player to play alongside Ricky.

As for Philly, they get a cheap replacement for Dalembert in PeKovic . And a better PG in Flynn. Plus the 16th pick and draft James Anderson, Paul George or Hassan Whiteside. And Dump some salary this year. If they also want to dump Kapono / Green's salary, we could. If they ask for Ellington or 2nd round picks we still could.

2nd Scenario:

MIN gets

#2 pick

 Kapono /+ Willie Green

76ers gets

#4 pick

Sessions

(2nd Round picks)

Wolves drafts Turner, Accepts Kapono's 6M Salary and or Green's 4M salary.

Sixers drafts Cousins as a possible replacement for Dalembert, Have Sessions as a PG. Plus maybe a couple of 2nd rounders.  And saves themselves from paying luxury tax.

3rd Scenario:

MIN gets

#2 pick

Dalembert / Brand

(Kapono / Willie Green)

76ers gets

Jefferson

(Sessions)

(2nd Round picks)

We get Turner to the cost of losing Al and possibly Sessions. And hoping that we get Dalembert's shorter contract than Brand's bad contract, 16M next yaer and 18M by end of contract 2013.

4thScenario:    (Joining the mix will be the New Orleans Hornets)

MIN gets

#2 pick

#11 pick

Dalembert

MoPete

Kapono

(Green)

(Songaila)

76ers gets

Flynn

Okafor

#16 pick

(Ellington)

(2nd Round picks)

Hornets gets

Jefferson

#23pick

(2nd Round picks)

First off, 76ers Dumped Dalembert, Kapono (and Green) salary. They save from luxury tax. They have a younger upgrade in center position, Okafor who is defensively as efficient or arguably better than Dalembert. They get a starting PG in Flynn who was a 6th pick last year.  Uses the 16th pick to draft either James Anderson, Paul George or Hassan Whiteside. And possibly Ellington or 2nd rounders.

As for CP3's team, he gets to play Hi-Low basketball with a superb scorer in the name of Al Jefferson. With all the assists from CP3, Al becomes an All Star for the first time. A great upgrade from Okafor. Hornets also dumped Mo Pete's 6M contract saving the a lot from luxury tax. They also sent Songaila's 4M contract to save some more..? And uses their 23rd pick to draft either Gordon Hayward, Devin Ebanks, Solomon Alabi or Damion James.

The ever so unlucky Twolves recieves Dalembert, Peterson, Kapono, (plus maybe Green and Songaila) contracts which all expires before the start of the 2011/2012 season. Which they later used to sign a prolific free agent with a max contract (Durant, Carmelo, Horford, Oden, Noah ect. Who all could resign with a new team this year).

With the 2nd pick, they draft Turner. With the 4th pick they selected Cousins. And with the 11th pick, the wolves picked Donatas Motiejunas another European who stay in Europe to play a few years and later became the next Bargnani or even the next Dirk.

The future may not be so loomy after all.

To sum it up.. All the proposals I've sent were rejected by the teams involved and I was fired by Glen Taylor.

It's nice to be Khan for the day... =)
