Ebomb has recently made the case that Evan Turner is not so much better than Wes Johnson that it would not warrent taking on Brand's contract. I tend to agree. One thing I do not agree with him about is I do not think we can draft him at #4. Also, I do not have much of a preference between Wes and Aminu, each of the players brings different things to the table, but each brings things that we need. Finally, I want to keep #4 because I have bought into Demarcus Cousins.
The remainder of this post will attempt to find ways to pick up one of the two wings mentioned above in draft day trades.
#5 is held by Sacramento.
Sacramento gives Nocioni and #5, get Big Al (not sure Sacramento l
Wolves give Big Al, get Nocioni and #5
Not sure I like this, but it gives us a place to start the discussion.
#6 is held by Golden State. Three way with Memphis.
Memphis: gets Monte and #23, gives OJ Mayo and #12
Warriors: get Big Al, OJ Mayo and #16, gives Monte and #6
Wolves: get #6 and #12, give Big Al, #16 and #23
I don't think I do this if I am the Wolves, but I might. Memphis and Golden State both get really good value in my estimation.
#7 is held by Detroit.
Wolves get Prince and #7
Pistons get Big Al
I think this is consensus
#8 is held by the Clippers
Nothing I want that is touchable. Maybe a three way is possible, but not in the mood for that kind of out of the box thinking right now.
#9 is held by the Jazz
If we could get John son or Aminu at 9 I would do Kirilenko and #9 for Big Al.
Take note, these are just brain storms. Have a wonderful day!
