Let's assume, sadly, that the Sixers and Nets just won't trade down.
Let's assume, maybe too optimistically, that we can trade Big Al (with Gomes and/or Peks and/or #23) to Detroit for Tayshaun Prince and #7.
We take: DMC at 4. Xavier Henry, Abbott or Wes Johnson at 7. Paul George, James Anderson at 16.
DMC has as much star potential as anybody available to us, and can be nurtured and developed. KLove starts and we see what he can do. We get more than one wing who can shoot, drafted in reasonable slots, to see who will work out. And we have Prince's influence for a year then he's off the books or maybe trade him for an asset at the deadline.
It's do-able, I think, yet with reason to watch next year. It's an athletic, better defending, promising team for el Pistola to join next year, no?
SG--Brewer, Henry, Ellington
SF--Childress, Prince, George
C--Darko, Hollins, Sietsema (and Cousins)
