There have been a few whispers that NJ or Philly may select Cousins in front of the Wolves. If that were to happen (and Wall and Turner also get selected in the top 3) the Wolves would have their choice of Favors or Johnson. I know the CH public voted for Favors #3 on the community draftboard and Johnson #5, so it may seem foolish to bring up a debate between these two players. However it seemed to me that some of the pro-Favors sentiment was partially fueled by the anti-Cousins camp, and some of the anti-Johnson sentiment was partially fueled by the pro-Cousins camp. So by removing the polarizing force of DeMarcus Cousins from the equation, does this change the voting?
Everyone seems to agree that Favors has a much higher upside, but he is also very raw and considered a bit of a project. While Johnson would fit a need for the Wolves. Also the workouts by Johnson have been received with rather glowing reviews from Kahn and Doug Collins, while the workouts of Favors haven't received nearly as much acclaim.
I haven't heard much debate between Favors and Johnson. But this very well might end up being the choice for Kahn come Thursday. Does everyone feel this would be a no-brainer, or should the Wolves seriously consider passing on Favors at #4?
