Draftexpress is a-tweeting that these two teams want the Wolves first pick, presumably to draft Cousins. Are there players on either team who are both available and interesting to the Wolves?
It's great to be on the selling side in a bidding war, but I don't see a name in this paragraph that is remotely interesting, especially compared to BPA at the #4 pick:
The Wolves sit with roughly only $35million of salary obligations for the 2010-2011 season, a figure so far beneath the expected salary cap that it is completely conceivable that Trevor Ariza or Kevin Martin be included in the deal, if necessary. Other possibilities, in various combinations, would be Jordan Hill, Chase Budinger, the #14, the New York Knicks considerations, and if the Rockets are truly hot after Cousins, even point guard Aaron Brooks
Is there some other asset on either team that would be useful to the Wolves, especially in light of the the potential pick's age, potential, and low salary?
