The line was busy so we missed the 18th pick.

The Miami Heat have traded their way out of the first round of Thursday's NBA draft but, in doing so, cleared more cap space by sending the 18th pick and guard Daequan Cook to Oklahoma City for the No. 32 pick in the second round.

So why didn't we do this? basically, Wolves aren't signing a Big Name FA, so why not take on Cook's $1.36 million salary?

the 18th pick!!!? so who could we draft here?? Hayward, Aldrich, Henry, Anderson, Ebanks, Orton, williams, Seraphin, Whiteside, etc.... there's a lot of potential we could grab here. or even use it as a leverage to move higher in the draft. in the cost of $1.36 million and a second rounder.

Maybe Wolves was on the phone so much that when Miami call them for this pick, the line was busy..
