Looks like driving right for a layup isn’t enough to stay in the NBA.
Did anyone watch him on the Wiz last year? Did he manage to expand his game beyond that?
It's hard to imagine he doesn't get a job somewhere
I doubt he’s out of the NBA. But he’s probably not a key rotation guy anymore.

I was about to ask whether people thought he'd have a job in the NBA next year
I’m not convinced. He’s the type of guy that economic circumstances could really squeeze. If you can fill the roster spot with a 2nd rounder or UDFA for less than a million, there might be pressure to do that instead.

I think he could be a Nate Robinson-like guy off of the bench for some team
That’s worth a minimum contract in my opinion

His hometown Nets may be an option
They wouldn’t want to pay much for him, but I’d imagine they’ll consider giving him an offer above the minimum.

I thought Randy was a Philly boy?
Or is that just where he went to school?

That's where he went to school
Foye will be a pretty popular guy in FA, I think, among teams looking to round out a championship squad. Of course, those teams won’t be able to pay him at all, but I don’t think he’ll have trouble finding a home or interest.

Exactly how bad does that trade look for them now?
They ended up trading Ricky Rubio for two mediocre one-year rentals on a terrible team. Nobody talks about that now, but if Rubio ends up being a star, people are going to forget that Rubio didn’t come over right away and remember that the Wiz traded him for nothing.
I think getting Wall makes up for any past transgressions
I wouldn’t care about any other moves… if my team landed Wall I wouldn’t really care about past moves because they might have altered the outcomes of the present.

I guess...
But that doesn’t make the trade any less bad at the time. And I don’t think Rubio was going to play in the NBA last year after slipping to the 5 pick salary anyway, so it almost certainly wouldn’t have affected their record.
In fact, the whole situation is kind of ironic because that trade for Miller and Foye was supposed to be a “win now” move, and they ended up with the #1 pick the next year.
I find it funny/sad
that Kahn makes a great move, but has no luck in the lottery and gets scorched for the last month or so, but Grunfeld makes an awful trades, gets lucky, and apparently deserves a free pass???
Free pass?
They’re calling for his head over at our sister site and it’s all the rage of DC talk radio.

I was responding to CK23
saying that getting Wall makes up for the past.
Glad to hear he isn’t getting a free pass in DC.
Finally, the shoe's on the other foot
This trade ranks right up there with McHales best flops. Khan is to be commended for that trade, although at the time it was made, there were probably a few naysayers out there lamenting the loss of 2 talented vets. I know a lot of Wizard fans were happy with the trade at the time. The thinking was the Wiz didn’t need anymore rooks, as they were ready to contend now. LOL. All they needed was some more veterans to help sway the tide. All the expert media people immediately made the Wiz a contender because of that trade. LOL. Just shows how much the supposed experts really know. Of course, all the injuries and the loss of

I looked ahead to the open road, thought about the people and what they know, and wrote a book called "People Don't Know Nothin!"
We should send them a gift for letting us get Ricky!

They already got one in getting Wall
Especially as he’ll be playing for them next year.

If McHale was still the GM of the Wolves
Just a guess but Foye would be making at least $6 million this upcoming year if McHale was still the GM. Foye never would have been traded and would have put up decent stats again for a horrible team. McHale then would have felt the need to overpay to keep an average player. I’d guess he’d have signed him for at least a 4 year $25 million deal.
