I wonder, which team gets in the trade the option to trade picks, and what years are they. I guess there's still some negotiations going along about it, since Miami pulled Sign & Trades with Toronto and Cleveland. Here are the Heat's picks over the next 7 years:
- 2011: Goes to Toronto
- 2012: Cleveland has the option to swap picks
- 2013: Goes to Cleveland
- 2014: Unattached
- 2015: Goes to Cleveland
- 2016: Unattached
- 2017: Unattached
So basically that leaves only 2014, 2016 and 2017 as options. I hope that the Wolves control the right to switch picks, and I wouldn't mind waiting until 2016 or even 2017 to swap them ( hopefully, Miami will be bad by then ).
BTW, can't we sign Mike Miller and trade him to Miami for Beasley. That would save them more than 4 million on their remaining 8M cap space, and maybe we could get the 2017 Miami pick.
